I would like some type of MP3 player added to my car and I like the phatbox set up that is available with the S4, can you add this to the HK system or something similar, and can you get sat radio from BMW? TIA

TIA Any BMW with an I-bus CD changer port can have a PhatBox installed. The only issue is mounting (it isn't the same size or shape as the CD changer).

BMW offers Sirius on 2003 and newer cars as long as you don't have navigation.

I use my iPod with the FM transmitter, it works pretty well on road trips but it is near impossible to use in a large metro area where there are an s-load of FM stations.

Douge, you need to hardware your iPod, going via FM is an injustice to the iPod!!

Also phatbox, iPod, Neo Car Jukebox, and others... work as good HDD mp3 and other lossy or lossless audio formats. www.hydrogenaudio.org

How do you hardwire the iPod???? Do you wire all of your cars and carry back and forth?

I used the Fm transmitter in a Cadillac I rented this summer and it worked pretty well while I was on the interstate, but I usely stick to discs when I'm in town. I am still undecided on whether to buy the Audi S4 which is available with a phatbox from Audi, and the M3 in which I would want to add some type of MP3 player (hardrive).
