I just had a modest system installed by Ron Lewert(streeteffectz)in my 03 540 yesterday, 10/24. The following are what I have in the car;

jl audio 300/4 amp
jl audio 500/1 amp
jl audio 10w6v2 subs(2)
diamond audio hex s500s component speakers
diamond audio coax at the back
and dynamats

The result is amazng. I didn't expect it to be like this. If you are in the NY or NJ area, try to hook up with Ron Lewert at streeteffectz.com. I am from MD and I took the 4 hour drive for him to do my car. He is a very nice guy and a very competent installer. He worked on my car from 10 AM until 9 PM. My 4 hour drive from Maryland is definitely worth it.

Jun, glad you are happy with the final product. I will have those pics uploaded for you tonight of all the panels off and all of our wiring and finished install :)

Anyway, the system sounds great BudMan, very clean and precise

I specially like how Ron isntalled the amps behind the sub box where the fins are just slightly peeking on top of the box.

Ron installed it the way I really wanted it to be installed. It is a nice, simple, clean looking install. Of course, the one he did on my car is nothing compared to the serious stuff he has done in his show cars.

He also spent some time tuning the system. He just didn't wire everything up and sent me home.

This system is much better than the one that i used to have in my 330ci. My 330ci have a/d/s components and subs and RF amps. Maybe it is because of the extra tuning that Ron did.

If I have another car that needs a stereo system to be installed, I wouldn't hesitate to drive 4 hours to get to Ron's place.

Highly recommended.

very nice setup.. almost exactly how i want mine done but i'm probably gonna go with 1 12w6v2 instead of 2 10's :thumbup:
