Yes they are secure and there is still other places that u need to screw. This broken tab will not affect anything.

Xenon= Low beam xenon and high beam halogen

Bixenon= Low and high beam xenon.

But not both xenon and bixenon will fit into your car. Is all depend on your year and model unless you retrofit. :)
