Almost killed myself waking up so early at 9:30AM today to attend the ground breaking of the NEW New Century BMW Center/Dealer located at the intersection of Main Street and Alantic Blvd in San Gabriel . Century West BMW(Universal City) and New Century BMW(Alhambra) have been around for 15+ years and arguably the best dealers in the LA/SOCAL area...I am probably very biased of course =)

Anyway, the new building is going to be awesome. It has a combined lot coverage of 5+ acres, over 100+ employees, 3 levels, 50+ service stalls, 4 lane entrance into the service area, massive retail/*****sale parts department...Construction offically started today and will be completed in 2005!

Here are the details of the model the architects made...each level comes off...very cool stuff...

So the moral of the story is...if you're looking for a BMW, get it from New Century...if you already have one...get it serviced there =)

Great thread...

I got my car from New Century in Alhambra. Great sales experience (all negotiations done in 10 minutes), great deal and great service.

Will definitely buy another one from them in the future.

How did you become part of the ceremony?

nice, we can expect continued markup's of 5k on the M3 and 10-15k on the M5-M6 and at least 30k on whatever z8's are still around to help defray some of the cost of building this monster.

I'm just talking sticker cost, not what kind of deal you can possibly get when you start haggling or have previous business with them.

Century West seems to like the markup more that I have noticed.

No haggling, just a quick question my dad ask.

"How much will you take off of MSRP for that M5?"

Fisch330ciTopasBlau - They're building this new structure because the current New Century is wayyy over crowded, lead times for service appointments are weeks later...the regional VP mentioned that sales are increasing 5% per year(1100+ new sold last year, so about 100 a month)....there are just too many BMW's in the surrounding cities needing service...I don't really see the connection you're trying to make...I don't know about you but, I rather get my car serviced at a dealer where they don't have to constantly move cars around, park cars between service bays, etc....simply because it's overcrowded...my two cents

someone will have to pay for it is all, and that someone is us. :)

Sounds like New Century's sales is awesome. I heard some bad stories about their service though, particularly one involving a dude's M5.

Shelly BMW is expanding too. Gonna be pretty huge as well. They need it badly too. I think they have like 3 customer parking spaces currently as it is.
