you didn't hear it from me, but here is the latest on AA's SC for the e46 M3... :str8pimpi
I was hangin out at AA with my boy, who is an AA insider (sorry, but he remains anonymous), and as we went there to chill for a minute, I see Karl and Co. wrappin up another day of testing and tweakin the red M3. They take a long break and what not, so I venture my curious ass onto the scene, and low and behold what do I see:
the fresh of the press Dyno, showin 354 hp !! :yikes: :bow: That's right boyz and girlz, that's 354 ponies to the rear wheels!! Take into account that it is a mustang Dyno, and you can easily figure this sh!t out... They walk back and we get to talkin, and I told them that I couldn't even hear the SC spin, and asked how much boost are they running right now....here is the kicker:
5 psi of boost! :yikes:
So, some more talkin and he tells me that their goal is to put around 13 psi, so that's around 450hp to the wheels... INSANE!! I got to see some of the other dyno prints, and at one point they did have an 8psi run, poppin a whoppin 396HP, but they the maps where not running so smoothly so they backed down, until they get all the kinks out.
Don't know about havin 13psi on an M3 engine, but I can tell you that with 5 psi that sucker has been running Dyno run after Dyno run, and no problems yet, pushin 350+ to the wheels... Figure that they can tune it safely to around 8psi and you got something coming!!
