Join the BMW Car Club of America - http://www.bmwcca.org
They automatically place you in a local chapter - possibly http://www.delvalbmwcca.org/
Look at their driving school schedule and sign up - http://www.delvalbmwcca.org/drivingschools.html
See you at the track!

is there any advantage doing perf driving school at BMW in SC? i know BMW has a state-of-the-art track w/ water jets etc. another question, BMW used to have a 2-day session, but it's not listed any more. anyone know why?

Yea do some BMW CCA driving schools, they are awesome. I did a bunch before I got my racing lisence. Also check out www.carguysinc.com. Thats also a good track school where you can bring your own car (and there are a lot of BMW's that show up). I usually go to a bunch of car guys events for practice and some track time.
BMW schools at SC are ok.....you should go to the traveling Precision Driving Experiences....They are much better, as they allow you to go DSC off all the time to really explore the limits of the car. Once you have completed at least one school, you can attend the Advanced M school, where you drive e46 m3s and M5s at high speed tracks. I believe they have Mid Ohio, Lime Rock, and Charlotte Motor Speedway in the lineup for next year.
