The dork that I am, I am preparing a "kit", if you will, of supplies to bring to autox events. I have a big plastic bin to tote all the crap together. I'm just curious what everyone has with them on track days. What are the must haves? What are the don't bothers?
Here's my list so far:
Helmet
Plastic tarp
2" wide painter's tape
tire pressure guage
bottled water
sun screen
metric ratchet set
basic tools
work gloves
towel(s)
glass cleaner
duct tape
probably bring the torque wrench
prepared acceptance speech for the award ceremony
I will likely not be changing wheels at the event, but if I need to do it there (for time reasons) I'll bring the floor jack (higly unlikely).
What should I add/delete?

Here are my additions:
Chalk or white shoe polish to monitor tire pressures.
Stenographers pad to take notes during course walk and to sketch a rough outline of the course
An air compressor

I just bring my helmet, bottled water, and tire pressure gauge. I try to get everything else done before hand (cleaning windows and removing everything). Also, for this season, I have cut out some magnetic racing numbers, and will eventually buy myself an air pressure gauge so I dont have to stop at a gas station for air or borrow other peoples units.

oh, I'm doing the magnetic numbers as well...
I will have to buy one of the cigarette plug air compressors - that's a good idea, too.

Don't forget the wife/girlfriend. Everyone needs a cheering section. However, I wouldn't recommended putting her in the big plastic bin. :)

teamf1 beats me to it...
I strongly encourage bringing an extra bottle of engine oil and coolant. An extra set of bedded brake pads might be good. Bring all the tools you need. Even the little screw driver for your glasses if you wear one. ;)
Also, you might want have your car checked by a qualified tech about 1.5 weeks before the event.

Although I'm sure my very compact fiance' would fit nicely in this plastic bin, I would never do that. There'd be no room for my stuff. Not to mention she'd be too upset and hypoxic to cheer for me.

well since my car is still a street car I only bring my helmet and tire pressure gauge and tire temperature gauge. Tools well I dont think you need them since you cant tune your engine or change camber/caster settings there. extra oil is a good idea you never know.

Actually, the significant other makes a great paddock grunt. Need your tire pressure checked? "Honey, put 2psi more air in the fronts, please." Need someone to put your R compounds on while you register? "Dear, start jacking the car up and loosening the lugs."

I always take a cheap $99 folding square tarp deal. Its 10'x10' and folds into a 8"x8"x 4ft bag. I lay it across the back seat to get there. Use the jack, cooler, and spare to tie cords to keep it from flying around the pit. Makes new friends pretty fast on rainy days and keeps me from frying in the sun.
Best thing I bought for track days.
Well, that and the Kumho's
