View Full Version : What kind of exhaust would you get if you could get a discount?

Alright guys. I have been thinking and thinking about exhausts. They're expensive! A discount would be nice...

I want to know what kind of exhausts you guys are interested in? What is the GruppeM of exhausts among E46Fanatics? AA? Hamann? AC Schnitzer?

The TSE2 is being revised and is not for sale at the moment, so please don't mention that.

I would love to do an AA Group Buy, they're exhausts yield an impressive 13hp and 18ftlb tq....

My AA Exhaust is still on order. Should be in anythime. If you want a quiet Exhaust, you definitely go with AA or Dinan. But Dinan is expensive. If you want a louder one then go with UUC.Hamann's are great Exhaust but IMHO I think they are over priced as well.

Yeah. I could probably do Remus but it would involve getting more sources together...

uuc and eisenman have better specs...i like the tse2, loud as hell, scares all the civics away.

I'm probably going to go with the borla for my 330. They're supposed to be out soon. I've had borlas on my last few cars and I like them. They have decent performance, they are a true cat back system and they're not too loud. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty.

Ha! I hear it on a regular basis too - everyday when I commute to work and back in my cherokee and I AM impressed. It sounds pretty good IMO. I can't imagine it sounding terrible just because it's on a bmw and not a jeep.

dont need another exhaust but some opinion...

Borla...trash
AA....good
UUC..loud from what i hear
Eisenmann...probably the highest ranked
Supersprint..cant go wrong
Hamann...exactly the same as supersprint, cept louder
dinan...you could buy two of the others for the same price
Remus...like it, didnt try it but tried the ACS fig 8 and i liked it. I think remus is louder than the ACS spec stuff

Jlevi SW

Eisenmann is PRICEY... and I can't get that much of a discount at all...
Right now AA is looking good.... and the 13/18 is just exhaust... check their site ;)

Jesse: Thanks, but I'm probably gonna do this with SPP... I think they are pretty flexible about it. Maybe another time we can do business? I'm a sponsor now if you havn't heard.... so it should be fun ;)

I voted for Eisenmann race because of the 4 it's the most expensive..

AA doesn't look right under an e46.. but it looks good under an e36..
Supersprint.. great quality and performance.. just sold my old e36 SS exhaust.. but i'm looking for a little louder...
Remus is already one of the more affordable exhausts... and there always seems to be a gb on them.. so no worries there...

I'm more interested in gains than anything else, I could really care less about sound (I know this sounds irrational, but it seriously doesn't matter).

I've heard the DMS is basically the same as the TSE... Dual Muffler System vs. Twin Silencer Exhaust...? Not to badmouth, but I havn't heard many good things

Plus, AA would probably yield the best discounts... look for a $100 discount off of the $650 price tag.... if AA wins ofcourse..

JL

Oh yeah, without software (on a 328... i'm sure the same goes for 325/330) you'll still gain 8 horses....

Signs point to yes. Still waiting to hear final prices, but it looks like this is a Go.

Blurizpimpin: The numbers don't lie. More people are interested in Active Autowerkes, not to mention that it is a better exhuast. What's the point in doing a group buy on a product that is already dirt cheap? The idea of a group buy is to get a very expensive product at a much more manageable cost. If you want a Remus, I can try and get it for you at retail, which is still pretty competitive.

sorry , I don't agree. I think the "point" is to get a cheaper price (even if it's dirt cheap) Actually , what may work out better is if you can get a group discount (say 15% off) for X people (say 15+ people) then more people may join in and get the exhaust they like.
