I know MB Quart 213 fits w/lil modification. I also heard DIAMOND and FOCAL have deeper magnets and will require more modifications. What other brands are out there w/the least modifications?
I'm supposed to get my MB QUART PSE 213 but they are on backordered and I need some speakers soon.

Focal I believe have deep magnets, however, Diamonds do not have deep magnets so will fit without mods. DLS will also fit without mods and so will a/d/s which are very high quality speakers.
I want a set of a/d/s, money isnt the problem, mounting the cross overs is since I dont want to run cables all the way up and down the car... so want to keep cross overs in the doors, just like my DLS crossovers are in the door.
If it helps any my installer fitted focal 5 1/4 components in my 2001 coupe without any problems. He wasn't prepared to 'make' the 6 1/2 inch comps fit though - didn't want to have to cut my car!
The dimensions for the focals are on here http://www.focal.tm.fr/gb/sommaire.htm

DLS will also fit without mods
Which ones do you have? I got MS6 and needed to modify the panel slightly, namely cutting off the the high ring behind the grill that seems to have no purpose. The reason is that MS6 mids are slightly larger in diameter and a lot deeper and therefore would have touched this ring. Also, I made the speaker holder from mdf myself. Here's pic:

A little off-topic, which Alpine have you got? Does it support steering wheel controls (did you need extra adapter)?

I had a/d/s 345is in my 330ci. Now that I have a 2003 540, I am using diamond audio hex series. Both are drop in models in my 330ci and in my 540.

I have the DLS R5A's in my CiC front doors - I am looking to get the a/d/s 235is since the cross over is smaller and hopefully I will be able to get it to fit in the door. Can you confirm they will fit - Also, the 345is, are these much better then the 235is? I know with the 3 series I will have a problem fitting the cross over in the doors.
I have the Alpine 7893 head unit - It does support the multi function controls, however an adapter needs to be pruchased.

If you with Focal, I think you're only choice is the Polyglas slim. Unless you're willing to cut or really mod your door panel. The 6" Focal slim is only 2.5" deep.
