did you go stage I or II?

I went with Stage II. But the production methanol holding tanks, are still being constructed. So its Stg II is installed and plumbed in, and just waiting for a my holding tank.

Have been driving it for a week now, basically been beating up my blizzaks fairly good, when the roads are clear and dry :).

Car was shipped to Portland to HPF for their turbo kit. I looked into both, and it was between the VF kit or HPF.

Yes, we will need to get a spring meet going for sure. Where the F is Jeremy L. (M3) been? I haven't seen him post in ages. Same with Matt (330).

Ahhh, I can't wait for spring. Everyone has such huge plans for their cars this winter. Everyone will have so much to show at the first Uni meet. Where is Gerard? Does anyone know if he picked up the 997 yet?

Hey All!

Just moved to Minneapolis area about a month ago.

Wondering if any of you could recommend reputable body repair shops in the area. I came out from work one day and saw a small dent on my left rear fender. It is about the size of a peanut, but the paint chipped off a bit and I absolutely can't stand it. Quality/Credibility is priority, followed by price.

Secondly, being winter time, I was hoping one of you guys could recommend a quality detail shop around the area. I usually detail myself but given the cold weather + a 50-55 hour work schedule, I just don't have the time and energy.

Thanks and hope to meet some of you in the near future!

Welcome!

Raymond Autobody is a very good shop, they do amazing work and have pretty reasonable (not cheap, but reasonable) prices.

As for a detail shop, I'd recommend Zeibart in downton Minneapolis. They're also pretty pricey, but do amazing work. I always just wax the sh!t out of my car before winter, hand wash it whenever the temp gets above 35, and wax it again once it starts getting into the 50's. If you want to wait until spring and/or warmer weather, I can detail your car for you if time is an issue. I just think it's a waste of money to spend at least $100 on a car wash when you'll only have to wait another month or so to do it yourself (or have me do it, or whatever.)

If you have any more questions, give us a holler. We should be planning a spring meet pretty soon. :)

Thanks for the quick reply Alec. I plan on looking into Raymond Autobody. I'll most likely wait until I order some parts so I can have them do everything together

As far as detailing goes, I agree with you as well. It would be kind of pointless for me to spend that kind of money and then dirty it up within 2 weeks (I'm a daily driver). Waiting till Spring time sounds like a good idea and I would definitely be up for some detailing sessions.

Keep me posted on your meets. I'll be there for sure.

Wow you finally came on here! Cool. We're getting something organized. A couple guys from Bimmerforums.com are planning a GTG and cruise for April or May.

You have the Imola Red 'vert, right? I think I talked to you at HIN at the end. :hi:

Actually, come to think of it, I do enjoy NOT putting tons of miles on the car. I put about 11,000 miles on it over the summer and trip to Milwaukee. It's been hovering around 62k for the past few months and it's great.

West River Pkwy is absolutely out of control as well... might as well be arctic tundra.

I drive a company vehicle so my baby sits quietly and safely in the garage all winter long. I peek in once in a while to say hello and take it out on the weekends if the roads are free and clear of most salt and debris.

I hate seeing BMW’s covered in salt and dirt. :(
