Hi,
Can you guys who autocross give me so info or links on this? I want to get into this and try and get in on the novice session in April in NJ. What mods do you usually have or are permitted? How do you race prep the car? Thanks in advance for any info or links

Hey,
Are you planning on going to the nj autocrosses? If so, you should contact Ed "Teamdfl". Modifications are allowed, but they may bump your car up to the next class. Pump up your tires and your ready to go.

I just saw his post in events and sent an email to the guy he mentioned. Tires... check!
Anyone else?

you don't really need to prep anything. Just give it a try first. If you get hooked, start decinding whether to mod or not.
I won't be there on the 18th, but I'll definately be at the next one. See you there!

first time autoxers should not modify anything unless you find yourself finishing 1st in your class on every event right off the bat.
just drive your car the way it is and when you have surpassed a limit on the car then upgrade. for example once you can't go any faster with your current tires, then upgrade the tires. then you might find that you have too much understeer, so add negative camber etc.

What he said!
Put an extra 5psi in your tires and have fun. Go to a few events before you throw money at your car.

I wasnt really looking to mod up the car for the occasion, but to see if any particular mods end up disqualifying or bumping you to another class or something...
Thanks for the info guys! Who else will be there in April?
