URGENT NOTE TO ALL: In our effort to procure the Macy*s parking lot at Woodbridge Center Mall, we learned that newly established town ordinances restrain indefinitely the ability of mall security to authorize the use of mall property for any kind of gathering, recreation or otherwise. As a result, we were forced to change the meet location to Roosevelt Park. We apologize for any inconvenience this change in venue may cause. We hope to still see you at the new location, Roosevelt Park – positioned only minutes away from Woodbridge Center Mall. RULES OF CONDUCT


EVERYONE PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING

(1) No speeding, erratic driving or racing- If there is any of this type of behavior, it will not be looked upon kindly. There is a great danger when a large number of vehicles are speeding on public roadways. The last thing we want to do is endanger the safety of our forum members, and that of people on the roads in general. This includes any overly aggressive swerving, cutting people off, etc. As there will be a few caravans en route to the meet, there could be potential for catastrophe if someone decides to do their best "Fast and Furious" impression. Maintaining a safe speed on the road and not tailgating other cars can easily reduce this.

(2) No Loud Music, Burnouts, Excessive Revving- Since we are going to be gathering in a public area, we will most likely be under much scrutiny from park security and local law enforcement. This meet could be ended very quickly with a "loud music" call to the police. The same holds true for excessive revving, burnouts, etc. The organizers of this meet understand that there will be people present that have EXTENSIVE audio/visual mods done to their rides, and want to showcase them. We fully understand and endorse that, but ask that you keep your demonstration short and sweet to avoid any unwanted attention. Those with exhaust mods, will be asked to do the same, just a couple revs to "show what 'cha got" not sitting there bumping against the rev limiter. Burnouts/donuts, etc will simply NOT be tolerated at this meet.

(3) No Cross Brand flames- This meet has great potential to birth a wealth of hybrid meets/collaborations in the future. This could be a networking opportunity of great proportions! Just think of all the tuners, shops, online resources, etc. that could be shared amongst 3 premier luxury vehicle groups! The last thing we want to do is let a few snide comments undermine this effort. The fact of the matter is, we all drive what we drive for a reason, that reason being solely important to us as individuals, let's respect that decision across ALL brands. No matter what, WE ALL STILL LOVE OUR CARS! So let's leave any pre-conceived notions at home and come with an open mind and respect for each other and have a GREAT TIME!

(4) Alcohol Consumption- Due to the rules & regulations of the public parks, we are going to ask everyone to refrain from bringing alcohol to this meet.

We've set up a new club called ///CLUB 333+ and I just wanted to let you know that we'll definetly be coming for this meet with our BMW family . The head count thus far from /// CLUB 333+is belows. So add this to your head count and lets make this big. (I have taken note of the fact that RAPTOR has already signed up here)
I'll update our head count from /// CLUB 333+ as we get closer to the date ok.
We should be able to get a big turn out for this.
We just staged a huge turn out at TOBAY. We were 40 E46 M3 strong. If we all team up for this event we should definetly steal the show.

I know! Some of those Audi rides are sweet! But, we did not anticipate the growth we already have among the 3 groups we planned for (BMW, MB, Lex), and because of space concerns we do not want to encourage any other groups to join. We're almost at a point where we may have to turn people away! We've got 57 BMWs, 61 Lexus' and 30 MBs. That's almost 150 cars!!! We have also arranged to get products from BMW, Mercedes and Lexus sponsors to raffle off at this meet. It would be a shame if a band of Audi's came and prevented some Lex and/or BMWs and/or MBs from getting in and benefitting from a meet that was specifically designed for them. So, don't invite the Audi guys this time. I am looking forward to possibly coordinating another cross-brand meet in the future that will absolutly include Audi/VWs!

As this thing has grown beyond what we anticipated, it has prompted me and the other 3 coordinators to come up with solutions and potential alternatives. At one point, I believe I asked either you or MaxxM3 for the contact info for Floyd Bennet, in an effort to secure that as an alternative location. However, after discussing this possibility, via conference call, with the other coordinators of this event, we decided that Floyd Bennet would not be an appropriate alternative based on geographic location. We originally planned this event in New Jersey and that's where everyone on ClubLexus, MBForums and E46fanatics has anticipated going to. NJ also happens to be a central location for most. Very importantly also, we've acquired a number of sponsors who that we must consider, who are expecting this meet to be held in the NJ area. Finally, it was ultimately our determination to cater to the NJ folks with this meet since they tend to have to always travel to the Queens, LI, Brooklyn, CT meets. That being said, yes, there is a space concern at the current venue we have chosen. However, remaining true to our original intentions, we are determined to come up with solutions/alternatives in the New Jersey area. We have been in the process of getting a permit at Roosevelt Park and will know something definitive on that either today or tomorrow. In the meantime, we have been considering alternative locations in the New Jersey area. If you know of any locations in the NJ area (preferaly close to Edision/Menlo) that you may know of as a good alternative, we will appreciate and welcome those suggestions. However, for this meet, we cannot consider Floyd Bennet, which is in Brooklyn, as an alternative. If we're forced to use the Roosevelt Park location (because of lack of alternate solutions) we do have a plan, which we will announce by the end of this week or early next week.

Good news! We acquired a 100 person permit for Roosevelt Park yesterday! It winds up being a lot better than the 40 person permit that we thought we were going to have to get. This is a huge development because it just looks better for us if we get 130+ people and have a 100 person permit as opposed to a 40 person permit. It is not likely that we will have to turn any away at this point providing we are all on our best behavior! Obviously, burn-outs, donuts, erratic moves are all things that can ruin it all and have us closed down in moments! If there are any questions as to proper conduct for this event please consult the first page of this thread and read the RULES OF CONDUCT. You can also PM me or any of the other coordinators with questions and/or concerns.

Let me also mention that though it is not likely that we will be thrown out once we exceed the number of people the permit allows, I MUST advise you that because of the unsurety of what will happen that day the possibility of us having to turn people away is still there! So ARRIVE early and/or ON TIME so as to ensure your place at the meet! We do not anticipate having to impliment this, but because the possibility does exist, I want to give you the heads up and the opportunity to counter this action on your behalf.

Finally, raffle tickets will be $1 per ticket and there is a 5 ticket limit per person. This will be discussed more in another post. But just a heads up!!

LOL! Great question Raptor!! The answer is YES, we are going to have seperate raffles for each car group. After the seperate raffles are complete, we have one sponsor (Method MotorWorks) who caters to all 3 car groups involved and they donated an H&R Sports suspension. There will be one big raffle for that prize. Obviously, it would not make any sence for us to have that suspension on hand as we don't know who will win it. Whoever wins it will be given a Method MotorWorks certificate saying that they won the suspension. The winner will give me the specs of their car and I will then arrange for MMW to deliver that prize to that person!

Hmmm... how long do you intend to stay? It has not yet been decided, but I imagine we will be holding the raffle maybe at around 2 or 3PM. You plan on leaving before that? If you've bought tix but have to leave, we can probably work it out that you document your numbers with us and if you win, we will let you know! But honestly, we would prefer that the winners of the prizes be there so that we can take a pic of them with their prize in front of their car along with some promotion of the sponsor who donated the prize. Those will make for great pics on the forum too!

non-M3? It's not an M3/Lex/MB meet. It's a BMW/Lex/MB meet. All BMWs of every model are invited.

At this point, however, it would be really cool of those who would like to attend but don't have a BMW, Lex or MB to park in another grove in the park or at the mall parking lot and walk over. This will ensure that there's room for the invited cars and we will be able to take photos of them.

Good to see everyone for the brief time, though. Would have liked to have met more people, but it wasn't meant to be today.

What a blessing and a what a curse!

The blessing was the HUGE turnout! At 1PM there were easily 150+ cars there! The BMW representation was extremely strong, which made me especially proud! Thanx guys for showing up and a shout to the M3Forum (Club 333+) guys for getting there early and decorating the place for us with those sweet Ms! :thumbup: The Lexus representation was also very strong and I got to see some of the sweetest GSs and SCs I have ever seen in my life!!! :thumbup: I wanna give everyone a shout, but of course can't, so lemme just say props go out to Lexus11, DGOT20s and Halo! Sweet GSs indeed! :thumbup: Halo, the ride home was intense!!!! Thanx! The raffle went well, but not nearly as well as it would have gone had it not rained! :bawling:

The curse... well, IT RAINED! Many of the beautiful Bimmers, Benzes and Lexus' bailed and understandably so. What a mess and what a huge let down from what had the makings of one of the best meets to date!

As far as the rain date is concerned, well, we already did the raffle today and so we decided that the BMW Lex MB meet was official. However, I certainly will show up if everyone wants to meet up again on May 2nd (this coming Snday). Just be warned, we do not have a permit for May 2nd and that could potentially pose a problem. A cop approached us today and confirmed that we had a permit, so they are definilty on the look-out. If you guys wanna risk it, I'm there! So who is in for May 2nd?

Finally, let me say, THANX for showing up! I got to meet a bunch of guys and finally put a face to the name. Everyone I met was really cool and I appreciated that a lot! Me and the other 3 coordinators of this event discussed having a real make-up meet, with sponsors and a raffle again in mid-June. So, let's prep or minds for that and let's let the count down for that begin NOW!

Otherwise, THANX AGAIN GUYS!! Despite the rain, we managed to extract some fun out of this thing!! Till next time, keep safe!!!

Nice meeting you again Ron. This would have been the meet going to the record books if it didn't rain. By the time i got there....mostly just the Lexus guys were left. I had the car SPOTLESS until it started to come down.

Hey guys, I must say I was very suprised at the E46 turnout, you guys were rolling strong!! I got there just as it was starting to rain, so I only got a chance to speak to a couple BMW guys, Doc Ed and Laguna 01 M3, both of you guys have amazing vehicles!!

I was really disappointed at the rain because I wanted to scope some more of you guys cars as well as other nice BMWs (like that PIMP 740i with the black 20" Hartge's and aero package!)

Anyway, thanks guys for coming out, sorry about the weather, and hopefully we can do this again!
