Friends radio problem...looking for an answer

My friend just bought a alpine cda-9811

when he turns on the radio his subwoofers work however when turning it on to play a regular cd then his subs will not work


anyone know what the problem is???

I know what the problem is, he used the power antenna turn-on wire for the amplifier instead of the amplifier turn on wire. There is a blue wire and blue/white stripe. I believe the blue/white should be used to turn the amplifier on.
