Got a ticket for tints got a ? though

What is the limit in NYC in tints....i got 20% all around except the windshield......the cop told me it wasnt 20 that it was 17%...and he also said that he coulda gave me points for that.......i think he is full of crap n had nothin betta to do.....any1 know what the legal limit of tints is.....and any ideas in how i can say to the judge....about my tints should i ps my tints off n bring that pic in to court any suggestions any1???? :dunno:

In NY State no tint is allowed on the driver or passenger doors. So, for everyone out there ..... take pictures of your car before (with tint off), so when you get a ticket you can send pictures in saying .... hey look tint is off and pay the fine.

i was always under the impression the tint limit was 30% and yes it can be on drivers side , but im no expert just what i herd.
