Is it possible to run the ASA s/c kit w/ a different intercooler like the one on AA kit? :dunno: The one on the ASA kit looks too small.

It's not always that size matters. You have to look at the density of the turbulators. If ASA designs the intercooler for their kit, I would go with that.

i posted something like that. they said yea. cuz it's just a normal air-to-air I/C. when i save up enough cash i'll by the ASA kit and shove that thing in to my Xi and throw in a huge spearco I/C core. well not huge but big enough to fit.

Larger FMIC option will be available soon.

I'd love a huge FMIC like the Blitz, Greddy or Spearco one.

Doesnt the FMIC already decrease throttle response? Wouldnt a larger one decrease the responsiveness?

To a certain extent. There has got to be an upper bound size for installing a FMIC that is larger than needed, given that you're keeping the variables of the rest of the FI system as-is. But it also boils down to how well designed the intercooler is. Aerodynamic drag, or flow loss, can cause a drop in pressure when air goes through an intercooler that is not well-designed for an intended system.
Which is why I suggested earlier that since ASA includes the intercooler that they have designed/optimized for their system, stick with that. Unless of course, you're intending to increase the boost, using a larger compressor etc.
