how do you calculate engine HP with drivetrain loss.....dont you multiply your whp by the drivetrain loss to get your engine hp....this kid is trying to argue with me that there is no math involved and that normally the difference is just 50....can someone please let me know....

To compute crank HP from RWHP, you have to divide (100-loss)% not multiply it by (100+loss)%.

Crank HP = RWHP/(100-loss)%

Rearrange the above relation to get RWHP from Crank HP.
