Well once again I push my 330 to the limits and listen to the engine scream. This time it was me who instigated the m3 owner. He was just minding his business crusing in the middle lane at 80 mph. Well I just had to see if he would bite and race me, so I match his speed and started to rev on him. He looks at me like I must be joking and im just asking for it. He looks at his girl, they exchange some words and both start to laugh. Well well well .....
Thats when he punched it
Man I love the sound of the M3
To his surprise his car isnt going anywhere, well it is, but he cant shake me and im right on his bumper since there was no room to pass on the right and I had to actually let off on the gas. Funny thing, I can see him looking in the rear view mirror realizing that he is about to get spanked. At this point he must have realized that he could not shake me so he tries the m3 handling in hope to lose me in the turns, hum ........ :yikes: Guess that didnt work to well for him either.
Anyway it was a great 20 minutes and I enjoyed playing with the M3.

What part of New York are you in?
I have a house upstate, and Im just curious if your racing from an 80 mph role if its not on the taconic pkwy?
Pretty ballsie going from that speed.

Nice, can't imagine how much more power u will get with the injector, software and higher psi pulleys.
Have you thought about getting a customized software from AA for your ASA kit? The software from rennsport have been delayed for awhile.
Definitely have to go to a meet to check out ur ride.

Get Headers Crispvx if you havent gotten them already. Best mod to do with the supercharger
The stock headers are very restrictive, Check my review on the G-power headers. You will see what i mean, pics included stock vs aftermarktet

i agree defenately go for the headers if you don't have them already. Diff, LSD, headers, flywheel/clutch, full catback exhaust... just a few things that will make a big diff in s/c. and ofcource wait for that software and injectors/pulley.

increasing boost increases the temp of the intake. hence increasing the psi may not always be the best option specially when you are running a supercharged car in a hot area. Hence bolt on mods which allow the car to breathe better work wonders with a supercharger.

f*ck the warranty and just do it
i still got 1 year of warranty left, my cars going in for the install this saturday :)
2 years of owning this car and only once i had to send it for warranty. Which was for a window regulator. my point warranty dont matter, if any SERIOUS problems would have had to happen they would have shown up in the first 2 years of ownership.

:werd: Screw the warranty! I just let mine lapse without buying the extended warranty because :ghey: McKenna didn't want to service my car anymore. Oh well, I'd rather not have to deal with stupid stealerships anyways. S/C is the best money you could ever put on your car.

ha assassinGT you better watch out in the coming 1 to 2 yrs when they have s/c and turbo for the e-46m3's hehehe. but i still say it all depends on the driver if he is a good shifter. but a 330 with handerling mod's and a s/c will keep up with a m3 no problem may even beat him but i say its the drivers shifting skills.......

Street racing could potentially kill innocent people because someone is not mature enough to take it to the track. So if he dies, then it decreases the risk of innocent people dying at the hands of fools.

hehe, not in CA :tsk: almost all blowers sc,tc are illegal in CA specially those ones with high psi. They are not even close to pass smog test in CA. Not even dinan stage1 software passes CA smog test... so only thing we should look for is out of state license plate. Crispvx has pushed my indecisiveness over the edge. I just sold 400 shares of CSCO to fund my MODs.
Thinkin ASA SK1 (SK2 if available). I just extended my free maintenance, so I'll talk them into replacing my stock clutch before the SC install.
See how the clutch works with the SC. If it slips, then go for SPEC3.
Then i think headers are in order and a LSD. Possibly a boost gauge as well.
Think $10k will cover it?
Now to find a shop that I trust to do the perfect ASA install. Maybe I should ship/flatbed or drive from SEA to Rennsport and have the masters do the install..
Goal - to blow away an E46 M3 Cabrio SMG (uncle-in-law's car)
Edit: Much as I'd like a positive displacement screw-type, I don't think I can buy a decent kit within the next 2 months.

Selling stock to buy mods for your car is foolish. The mods will not appreciate in value (the stock might). Selling stock for a downpayment on a house, or to buy some property, or maybe an engagement ring - those are smart ideas.

Is modding EVER a winning financial move? NO! It' something we do for FUN.
and actually, this was better than pulling out of savings, because I worked at cisco as the stock rode the wave, and this was part of a grant that depreciated, so i get a HUGE tax break for capitol losses.
