Guys, I am interested in buying a used ess sc kit but it does not have software. I emailed ESS to find out what it would cost but know reply. Does anyone know how much software from ESS for a sc will cost me. Any help would be appciated.

I would guess atleast 400.00 but dont rely on that. Wait until ESS emails you back before you do anything.

I know they are real fussy about resales :thumbdwn:

Have you looked at the ASA kit from www.rennsport.com ?

Wow nice...ESS just emaied me $495 plus original purchasers name and sc serial #. If that deal does not fall through I will consider ASA, I really do not want to spend 5k though. Thanks for you help.

how much are you getting the ESS kit for?

I would pay the additional 2k and get the ASA kit, you wont be sorry.

3500 + 495 = $4000

plus you would have to bear the expenses of shipping your ecu out side the US. i think the extra cost of getting a new ASA would be around $1000. I would go for an all new ASA for just an extra $1k then a second hand Sc which may even be missing some pieces.

SC kit= $3000
SW= $495

I am waiting on pics before I decide. If I am going to pay 5000+ for FI I would consider the ATP turbo kit and go with a standalone cost me around $6800. I dont know yet I will wait and see but the ASA kit is very appealing.
