Its finally done I got my car back last night and it feels good. The boost is really linier not quite like a turbo snapping your neck but it's there. I still have a few kinks to work out but they're minor, plus I haven't gone into full boost as yet still breakin it in-300 miles. but I also know that I'm still not getting all the power its supposed to have with a bit tuning it should be there. the Boost is smooth you really feel it at 4 to 5k rpm. Right now my car sometimes sputters at 5.5k hopefully the tuning will take care of that, I also have to change my plugs does anyone have any recomendations? my starter sounds like it's going aswell thats probably because we took down the clutch at least 1/2 a dozen times(we had a clutch issue -solved) my gear box is also whining loud so I'm going to change the oil ( redline? ). after all is said and done this is worth every cent of Boost I spent. The way I look at it is It's my hard earned money I paid for it, I worked hard for it so let me play hard that's what Fanatics do!.............. :pimpin:   ...ONE...epeart

AlanWe reset the lights yesterday but it came on last night we adj the ASs tronic to full it was at about 7 turns and still a little lean but the reason why my setting is so high is because I have Dinan Stage2 software already in the car and that alone had optimized the fuel air ratio to accept more air. I'm livin Brooklyn, but I'm never there ispend most of my time in L.I. :pimpin:

I'm in BK also. Never seen your car around.

I heard that the Dinan software isn't a good match for the ASA. A friend of mine had the ASA with the dinan software and he's had nothing but issues with his car until he removed the software.

You should remove the Dinan software, it has only created problems with ASA kits. The standard software is better suited to adapt for the SC.

Have your dealership that installed it downgrade you to Dinan stage 1. They should do it for only the cost of a half hour of laber.

This will let you retain your higher redline, no speed limiter, quicker throttle response and it will remove the optimization for higher air flow.

Its stage III that gives the problems, now I got my DINAN software done in Spring 2001 and I have 2000 323i, I know that I don't have Stage III they don't make it for my car, so I have stage II or I but I don't Think I'll have a problem :dunno:

Need some technical help today when I had the Blower installed I changed my clutch as well and they kept having install problems with the clutch. To make a long story short I need a new gearbox. Now here's The big question can I use A 5-Speed box from a 330,328, or a 325 even though I have a 323? :dunno: need help............epeart

This is Mike, I see that your doing the damn thing. I saw the car at Barry on Tuesday. When you work out all the quirks you definately need to gimme a ride in it.

haha yes, lookin good man IVe been out of the country for a week or so but to give you all an update with my ASA project. well First I had gearbox/clutch problems, come to find out I had some pre existing promblems that had been slowly causing the tranny to fail so when I decided to change the clutch the same time as i installed the blower thats when all the problems surfaced. Basically the tranny leaked gear oil the box got hot and fused 1st&2nd gear together. That was about a month ago I was only able to drive the car for 2 days so I didn't get to really boost the car yet. So after searching the country for a couple weeks ( you would think it would be easy to find a tranny but appearently they don't break down too often) after finally finding one in Cali from an "03 325i my car is back on the road as of last night. It feels good so far.......

Technik found the source of the sound and problem it was the diverter valve by the lower charge pipe ,the clamp was jarred loose and when boost was building up it would leak from the hose and cause the sound. What I've learned so far about Forced Induction is that everything has to be Air Tight! Last night when I was going home from work and I hit a dip in the road and felt the car bottom out and hit the charge pipe under the car thus pulling down the hose at the throttle body of course I didn't know that was the problem at the time, so the car started to sputter and shut off, puffing black smoke, the EML, engine service light and DSC light all lit up. I managed to nurse it home. I went to the shop this morning and found the source of the problem. I fixed the slipped clamp and then proceded to check and tighten every hose, clamp and vacuum line on the system. I must say to all new SC owners GET TO KNOW YOUR SYSTEM AS IF IT WERE YOUR GIRL because there will be a time where your mechanic can't be there for you ( 1 a.m. at night on a Thursday) so you've got to take care of the little hicups on the way to Forced Induction Extacy. I also recommend to to keep your tool kit on you trunk lid stocked properly and have that flashlight charged at all times and for guys me and many others who have their rides dropped,a good low profile floor jack in your trunk. :thanks:
