I took my car to a dyno shop about an hour outside of philly, Xotic Motorsports. It was a hot day and I'm still running with my stock exhaust. Im sure these thing brought the figure down a bit... I did 247 rwhp/229 ftlb on my two best pulls. Around 18% drivetrain loss, thats 301 at the crank. Ess' claims are pretty accurate. I have a vid of the dyno pull, but no place to put it online.

The dip at 4000rpm is Vanos 'ive been told'.
Next comes the AA water injection, Tse3 exhaust and boost bump to 8psi with a new sc pulley... that dyno should be interesting.

what was the temp anyway?
if its a manual then drive train loss should be around 15%

what kind of numbers would an ASA be putting on comparison?

I think these are at the crank(got them from the infinatas website) you can check the rennsport website as well.
sk1 290
sk2 305
sk3 330
sk4 360
depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Why is that the 328 figures are soo much lower than the 330 values??
Is there that much performance difference between the two at Stock??
Most of the 330 ASA guys are getting 290+ at the Wheels!

Was about 80F and the shop was an hour and half away by highway... didnt cool much before the run. I know thats not very hot by UAE standards, I used to live in Bahrain... ;)
Ive seen stock runs on e46 328i's @ 158-160rwhp. Using the stock crank number of 193, that works out to ~18%. Ive also seen 18% tossed around for 5spd's and 22% for autos on forums... which is why i used that number.
The stock 330 had 223hp, stock 328 had 193hp... 30 more horses to begin with. 290+ at the wheels is about 355 at the crank. Im sure those guys have additional work done and not just a blower.
Those figures on infinitas are at the crank, not the wheels.

Vic328CSi, I don't think anyone is afraid of ESS.
I am sure it a good bit of kit. When I was deciding what to go with, had to look at price, peformance, and reliabliity.
I choose the ASA, because it pushed out the most power you might say that is only 5hp, but that's even without an ECU upgrade and injectors, and once that's out it will be crazy.
Best Price!
And well if BMW approve it the 7 Series Alpina (that uses an ASA SC), what more can i ask for.

Dude,
Stock 330 has 231hp stock. Mine Dyno'd at 236.7hp and that is just with an exhaust back box, not even a full system.
Yup and crispvx got 299 at the wheels with ASA and everything else stock! I am sure there is a Dyno sheet around somewhere on the forum of it.
Guys sorry if my last post does not make to much sense was written before Vic328CSi made changes. :owned:

So you get your car next week...you'll get into your 'new' ride.... it sounds different, it feels different... it puts a big smile on your face... life is good!
Good luck with yours!
P.s. crispvx had more than just the asa... but still i could see a 330 do close to 300 at the wheels, even in stock form they're packing a lot of heat
crispvx: I have a S/C, light weight flywheel, upgraded differential, etc etc etc
