I can't wait for the software and injectors!!

Dumbest question in the world.. Samir said MS42 and MS43 equipped cars. Does my 2001 E46 330i fall into that category?
For some reason, I thought I had an M54 engine.

Thanks,

You do, it's the model # for the DME (computer) that controls your engine, MS43 runs the M54, MS42 runs the M52TU

The SK2 ECU/Injector upgrade will cost $995. We will have an intro special price for existing SK1 customers.

ASA will be implementing some product/price changes beginning July 1st:

The SK1 kit will now cost $5995 (same as AA), and will generate 280HP+ for the 325 and 340HP+ for the 330.

The SK2 kit will cost $6990 and will generate 300HP+ on the 325 and 360HP+ on the 330.

NOTE: All HP figures are at the crank.

They will be releasing a new SK+ kit, which will not have an intercooler. This kit will cost $5295 and will generate 250HP+ for the 325 and 300HP+ for the 330.

Samir, so I guess that us steptronic owners are stuck with only the SKI right?

Once we get the software, do we still need the ASA tronic?

Are we going to need the bell fuel pressure regulator with the larger injectors?

ASAtronic most likely not needed. Remember it's just a potentiometer. A reprogrammed ECU should take care of this.

FWIG, Bell FPR is for better and finer tuning of fuel map. Good to upgrade, probably not a must. :P

From what I understand, the pulley is the same SK1 or SK2. The extra 1.5psi of boost is generated only by the increased redline given by the software.

That is awesome! SK2 yay! Too bad the SK1 price has to go up to same as AA :(

Since AA already comes with injectors and software, wouldn't AA be a better deal than the ASA one?

Which one makes more power?
Also, how much will an upgrade cost from SK+ to SK2 ? Is it even possible to upgrade, or do you have to buy the whole SK2 kit? Does SK+ use a different compressor, or is it just a lower boost pulley with no intercooler?

Thanks!

They should keep the SK1 same price and make the SK2 around AA's price. ASA is definitely better (IMHO), so they'd blow them out of the water. I bet if that happened, nobody in their right mind would buy an AA kit for their E46,

But alas, Rennsport either needs to recoupe come R&D expenses, or just wanna make more money. The American dream.. build the better mousetrap, etc.

We still haven't decided whether to up the boost via pulley or redline, we'll figure this out once we start tuning the cars.

CELs in the beginning are pretty common since the ECU is re-adjusting the fuel/ignition maps. The important thing is to break in the compressor for 100-150 miles, then drive the car hard.

Samir - I have a question. My car is a 330i step. If I buy an SK1, what kind of software upgrade is provided? Would I need to send samples of gasoline from Indonesia? We have a 96-98 octane here but we are never sure if that's really it.
