Was wondering if anyone out there with a S/C set-up has gauges for it & NAV. Where do you locate the guages & what companies sell these gauges?

I'm thinking of doing the DIY NAV install (miss NAV a lot) but also would like to have some gauges when I eventually get a S/C installed.

there are a few threads about it if you take a proper look.

However, the place to put them is the ashtray, you take that out, and get a custom plate made to cover that space and mount gauges on that.

We made a custom "pod" for my car with NAV.

You can kinda see it in this pic:

Crap...Any other places? I have my Valantine 1 remote unit in my ashtray. I can maybe move it to the regular guage area.

hi!
there are a lot of companies making these gauges, IMHO i'd take defi gauges their products are very very very nice, some members have greddy gauges too

i can't find those pictures now sorrry but you get the idea..i've seen this on a e46

http://www.defi-shop.com/product/images/hood.jpg custom fitted i believe..

i've seen people put them on the middle of the dash tilting a little without the gauge hood

i've seen people putting them near the cluster (ie. john from jersey)

i've seen people put them here as well

For those that have Aftermarket HU/Navs or ones with OEM NAV that allow A/V inputs, you might want to look into the HKS CAMP system (http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=651). It can tape into your factory ECU for the display of some basic functions as RPM, Speed, Injector duty cycle. Add in the HKS Junction Box and Sensors, then it can display boost, EGT, pressure etc.

I had this system on my past turbo cars and it was a great way to display info if you dont want meters visable.

just mount them on the dash or the A-pillar

^as far as I know of SPP is the only one with an A-Pillar mount and that's only for one gauge, because of the head impact airbag. :dunno: I'd be interested to know if there was any other ones out there that somehow didn't interfere with the airbag...
