I have the asa SKI kit and seem to have an oil leak somewhere but can't find it. The wires are covered with dirt soaked in oil and the maf sensor is also dirty. I'm not sure if this is the cause but I've been having idling problems with the needle jumping back and forth from 750rpm to as high as 1500rpms. Is there a safe out to remove that dirt and oil without affecting the MAF?

So you removed the sensor? Send me a pic first. Do not attempt to clean it yet.

you can wipe off the outside, dont clean the inside. if the 2 wires inside have junk on em, replace em. usuall what will happpen is if they get too dirty itll throw a code and your MIL light will come on and the code will say that one youre running rich. thats how it is on fords anyway, not sure on bimmers.

Aye...probably steering fluid. You're fine. Just clean it up.

Should I clean the inside as per Eurotuner28's suggestion or just the outer?

Clean outside if you need to. Don't clean inside.
