There's a possibility that some of us might go to dinner somewhere near the location after we're done with the meet too :)

I think this meet is going to have to be postponed... The weather for Friday doesn't look so bright (Rain / Thunder).

Pyo,
Potomac Falls is basically next to Sterling, off of Route 7 and close to Ashburn and Dulles Mall.

Costco location will work since I will take Route 28 south all the way.

This will be my first meet in the area, so I don't know anyone either.

By the way, if it's going to rain on Fri. then we can meet in a covered parking lot in Herndon, right off of WorldGate/Herndon exit on Dulles Toll Road (VA 267 / Close to Dulles airport) but the location might be far for some. There is KOHLS off of this exit and has a 3 level covered parking lot. Just a suggestion if we really need to meet :)

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Ali

I'm in for Fri. as well, but by Fri. afternoon we need to get a final headcount to see how many are interested. Seems like so far there are only 4 or 5 of us.

Hrm, don't think many people will even show if there is rain...Either way, if the headcount is high, lets do it! Bring an umbrella or just suck it up

I'm totally all for the meets on Friday, unfortunately, although I fully endorse the "suck it up and deal" mantra, most people do not. The threat of rain will in all likelihood cause people to make other plans, especially since the meet is not fully set in stone and it's already Wednesday.

Personally, I think we should do it next Friday - statistically better chance for better weather and thus better turnout. Besides, the extra week may give simsima325 a chance to put brakes on his ride so he can stop and stuff. :D

I agree with you OblueDre. With rain, it won't be fun. Hopefully by next Fri. (Sept. 24th) we can add more people to attend the meet and the weather should be better too.

This is true. We could always find a secondary location for rainy days...

It might be smaller meets right now, but it will continue to grow. Just from this thread we have revived the Mid Atlantic section already...

Sounds like the next logical step.

And I'd be willing to go rain or shine or next week.

It's def gonna rain, but I am going to try to make it if you have it. At the very least, there does seem to be a lot of interest on this board to revive the Bimmer community around here for future meets and stuff. Eastcoastbmw has been quiet for quite some time it seems.

But hey mike1r, your coming out right? What options you got on your 328i and auto or manual?

But hey mike1r, your coming out right? What options you got on your 328i and auto or manual?

I am coming out, but unfortunately my car is pretty close to stock! its a 5 speed.

Im on a budget so Im doing things little by little.HUGE plans but small steps i guess. So far Ive done just minor things like tint, clears/ debadge, and some roundels(in the mail). Im builidng my stereo from the ground up as well. Ive definatley got the bug tho been getting paid a salary to surf this board for past several months :smokin:

eager to se what you all have done... i dont wanna throw everything off but perhaps we meet AT a covered spot somewhere bc it will prob be pouring...either way.

When I rolled up it was four of us and it was pouring rain. As I rolled up i see everyone with umbrellas and rain poncho's. Now that is what I call e46fanatics meet spirit right there, respect to those guys  I unfortunatly didn't chill for more than 5 minutes before leaving. I look forward to more meets soon here.

I showed up shortly after you left to stu, just in time to see the umbrella voltron hut. We paraded to a local parking garage where thee were a bunch of other imports (70% of them were riced) but i ran into an old friend and his ridiculous limited GTI and saw a beautiful slammed Audi on my way out. The bimmers def. turned the most heads though it was nice. I enjoyed seeing such spirit also and was loving all the other E46s. my first meet was nice guys thanks ill be to the next if im in town.
