this was the physical unit back in may...since then it was shipped to vortech of USA and they "rebuilt" to their factory standards =) I just wanted to peek inside at what was wrong first...

mite46,

could you tell me what where the symptoms? i have a vortech on my e36 and at idle it makes a slight rattling noise, but when you rev it pass 3k it goes away. is this what yours was doing? thanks.

loud revolving sound at idle in the morning, once the oil temp increases and circulates the sound goes competely away (10min)

reving it past 3k helps with warming the oil definately. but these units should be very quiet at idle...

From what we experience, it's the noise from the rattle of the intake. We did that before, and finally we found out.
