I have oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp gauges for right now. I will be picking up a boost( :shhh: ) and a/f gauge as well, but wanted to know if EGT is a must as well.

as for A/F, I should get a wideband right? are there any with white faced wideband gauges out?

the only 'true' wideband in a gauge is that one from AEM i think it is avail with a white face and silver or black bezel, be prepared it is like $400. By the way where do plan on putting all of these?

AEM UEGO is a good gauge, and they have white/black combos. I have the black/black one. It's about $400.

Well I have the LeatherZ kit right now(uninstalled), so I figure I will put the most important gauges in their(boost, a/f, oil temp or oil pressure), and as for the other gauges, I don't know yet, I will ask my shop if they can do something custom for me. Maybe on the hood of my car towards the left side like the muscle cars have(just kidding :) )

Do all of you guys have an EGT gauge, or do I not really need it? Also, do I really need an A/F gauge? Aren't A/F gauges just valuable if you go and dyno tune your car?

Ya unless you want to put them in the vents I think you are going to have a tought time find spots for all of those gauges. And if you are going spend that kinda jack Alan L. posted some infor on an all digital controller that I think had 6 items to monitor it was pretty sweet but I think I was $700+ do a quick search you'll find it.
AFR gauge would be nice but not bang for the buck, I went back and forth so many times on what to get that I finally settled with boost egt and oil pressure.
By the way when you go dyno they stick a probe in your muffler for your afr. I bought the leather z bracket as well

omes> thanks man, well I spoke to a buddy of fine(a real turbo freak), and he told me that A/F ratio is not really a must have, unless you dyno tune your car often, which I will not be doing. Since I already have oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp, I will just buy boost and egt and leave it at that.

No problem  just passing on from what i have learned , wow that is still 5 gauges....hope the install goes good....just wondering where they are all going to go.....I had another installer look at what I wanted and without going into the vents or cutting up the dash there is just no place....

autometer sells individual pods, maybe there is someway that we could mount them somewhere. I know its pretty pointless because you can't see them, but a lot of people put a few gauges in the glovebox. I am thinking an install maybe where the center console is :hmm: ? Or maybe where the center cup holders are, getting like something custom made there? This sucks that we have no room for gauges. I guess I might have to sell a few of the gauges that are not as important.

I will probably go with EGT, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp if I just keep three. Boost is not really that important, since the kit is constant at 8psi.

What 3 gauges do you guys think are the most crucial?

I think the 3 you listed are best for a SC'd engine. I chose boost over oil temp as I don't live in a very hot climate, and from the best of my knowledge and research oil temps are only a real concern when tracking and the ambient temperature gets up there, we rarely see mid to upper 20'd deg C for the better part of the year. Boost is just more for show. :str8pimpi

Yeah I thought about down on the console but losing the sunglasses tray already, I didn't want to lose any more storage space....I have seen a nice setup with a dual SPA gauge in the cupholder. I am also planning an XM radio for the ashtray so there goes some more storage space that i am currently using for change....ect.
