Just bought a 2000 318ci COupe in Sahara Gold/Beige however it doesnt have the exterior chrome strip around the window frame. Has anyone ever heard of a retro-fit for it ??

Cheers

you can get the parts from the dealer, be prepared for a large bill though as they're not cheap.

But it's definitely a retrofit that is possible

Yes it can be done, I had my black trim replaced and it cost around $1,000.00 U.S. to include installation. I think it was worth the look.

$1,000???? You got jerked my friend. I'm getting this done on my '04 325i by the dealer for $350. I didn't even have to stroke his c0ck.

You have a sedan, it is much easier and faster to remove the window trim than on the coupe.

James,

I am running H&R coilovers on my M3. The ride is a little firmer than I care for, but not overbearing. The way it is sitting is worth it. I looked at the pics and info of your ride, and there is a bunch of TLC and $$$ there. It is an awsome ride and done in good taste. Great color combination too.

Sorry u took it that way, I'm not giving u ish. 1G is a lot of money. I can't imagine its that much more for a coupe instead of a sedan....

No harm no foul man. I can see why this maybe seem to be a high price but I check at BMW Northwest, Bellevue, and Seattle and the price was about the same. I debated if I wanted to spend that much for the work, but after it was completed I was happy with the results. It still was expensive I agree! I had this done in 2002. Take care.

Val,
