anyone using PassPort radar detector?

I am using passport 8500 something( lazy to check out the model) and yesterday at kingt bridge, Vancouver Police was using Laser speed tester and my detector totally no responde for laser, even I ask police offices use the Laser tester again in front of my car, it still nothing......I got ticket for $196. :bawling:
somebody kick there ass~~~$600 detector for nothing.......

when did you buy the 8500? I think there has been several software upgrade since it came out few yrs ago. and so is the laser gun the police use.

also, if you are the first of the bunch, regardless of which radar detecor you use, by the time you see "laser", it's already too late. unless you can beat the speed of light and electric current in ur radar detector.
