how much does that cost? Also, what are the best looking LCD screens out there? is the resolution on the Clarion as good as the pioneer or panasonic ones?

I got both of them for around $2000, still cheaper than if you buy the Clarion stuff separately: VRX925VD, Clarion DVH920 processor, and the Clarion VCZ625 DVD changer...
BTW, the Kenwood KVT-911DVD unit comes with DTS/Dolby Digital processor(brain) and TV tuner too

Wow...that seems cool. Maybe I'll look into that now. But how is the screen quality? do u get the touch screen capability like the Clarion?
As for that japanese page..I can't read it either. I assume it's a harddrive.

Yes, it has touchscreen capability...the screen quality is sharp, I never compare it side by side but most people said Alpine has the worst picture quality among others...
The only downside is it has only 6.5" widescreen, not 7" like Clarion or Pioneer

im just going to wait till next year for the new lines to come out (feb 03' -mainly lookin toward pioneer/alpine) which hoperfully will have all this combined..
1.got the looks of the kenwood/pioneer,
2.has the capability of playing mp3 cds like the clarion
3.touch screen
i was really close to gettin the kenwood brand new for 1500, but i wanted mp3 playback, and i dont really wanna dish out another 550 to 900 on the music keg...i know there are other cheap options for mp3 but i want an all in one deal...and i dont like the look of the clarions, especially when closed...i dont know thats my opinion..

but the alpine. it has the quickest load times and will play just about any format. load times make a big difference. ive tired the different units, and the alpine plays almost instantly. it's annoying when the cd player has to spool up to play a song. you can't go wrong with the alpine and the new ones have a 1 1/2 din display. they look awesome.

Or get this if you want very fast load times plus a lot of storage

I love my Clarion unit. Super crisp screen (day or night) and the viewing angle is very wide. . . you can view it easily from the outside of either side of the car. The fact that You can add so many extra's on to this unit (Dolby 5.1/DTS, CD/DVD Changer, Sirius Satellite, extra monitors, etc.) is what finalized my decision.
On a side note, I'm installing a 10" Sharp LCD screen in the trunk. Cheaper than most 7" in dash units (<$600) and I bought a under-cabinet swiveling mounting braket. This will be done next Thursday. I'll post pics when done.
This is what it looks like (only 2 1/2" thick).

guys tell me what you think of this unit on this site. The price is really cheap and I think it's worth it. Check it out and tell me what you think.
