My car ran fine for two days after installing the ESS SC. Now it has trouble staying running. I went to start up my car earlier to go for a drive. While waiting for it to warm up, the engine just quick. I started it back up again but die again. I tried for a third time giving more gas, the engine would rev up but die again. It appears that I may have some fuel related problem. It actually started last night. The car didn't want to accelerate after stopping at a red light even giving it more gas. Then it ran fine for the rest of the way. The engine light did not came up which seem kind of odd. :dunno: :hmm: Do any of you guys have similar problems? What do you think I should do? The gas needle show that I have approx. 1/4 of a gas tank left. Should I take apart the fuel rail and check the injectors for blockage? I already emailed ESS but have not heard back from them. Thanks

I know that there are many of you on here that had installed and driven SC cars for many years but someone please explain my situation. Here is an update. After I got home from work, I went to get some gas and pouring in the gas tank hoping that may be my problem. I poured in about three gallons and start the car up. Sure enough it ran just fine, I then took for a drive and everything work perfectly normal. BTW, after pouring in some gas the needle now read almost half tank full. I then drove the car for 30 plus miles after many stops and starts including shutting the engine off, no problem. The car ran perfectly fine. I even went to checked for error codes and nothing show up. So then tell what may have happen? :hmm: :dunno: Stuff like this just doesn't make any sense.

I have put in close to 90 miles since the install. I have not push my car yet, maybe tomorrow after I go over the 100 miles break-in period.

The car ran fine this morning. No problem at all. Where I live now, there isn't even a BMW dealership around. The closest dealership is an hr away in Jacksonville FL. That is why I do everything myself. I don't know if there is any shop around here that's familiar with my setup. Man, I missed living in the big city.

dont take it to a bmw dealership i ment more as Tuning Shop .. like castle motorsports or something of that nature.. or better yet i would ( ship it ) or drive it to Active Autowerks , they are legit and will fix any issues you might have.

I am guessing your fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator is bad.

They are way down south. I am guessing 6 hrs drive. I just drove my car earlier, and everything is perfectly normal. I am going to check on how much for a new fuel pump and filter cost. If they don't cost too much, I'll change them as a preventive measure.
