I have a 330i and for some of the Supercharger kits it looks like the intercooler sits in the opening that doesn't exist on my bumper. have people put another bumber on their car to do this? and do they use the 330ci or the M3 bumper? where can you buy this and how much should i expect to pay? I'd also like to get OEM BMW parts becuase I think aftermarket parts aren't as good in quality. Also do the other bumpers fit on my car?
Thanks for the info

You can install the supercharger kit with your bumper the way it is; however, you probably want the intercooler to have maximum airflow through it, and the mtech/m3/rd bumpers have an optimal opening so plenty of air can get through.
I would get an Mtech bumper since it's the cheapest and (IMO) looks the best. You can get it from pacific or circle bmw or I think there is a group buy going on here: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=220642

Since you like OEM and probably won't want fender modification, get the M-tech II kit.

John - I am getting a price quote for a MTECH kit to be delivered and installed in your area... I will let you know when I get it..

This price will be for a full MTech2 Kit delivered (drop shipped) and painted..

Just gotta do this before a ASA goes in..

Yes, my bumper is a M-tech II bumper. I don't remember the price. I'm sure the guy above me will hook you up.

shipping large painted stuff might risk scratching the paint..

ok... so best to get a shop to paint it and install it sounds like :jfj:
I'm sure i could do the install.... it's just the time-vs-money thing... my time is worth more than my money... that... and it would be more fun to have someone else to mod my car with... but i don't think there are any E46 fanatics near me :(

I installed the M-Tech II bumper in about one hour - that is after the fact it took me 20 minutes to remove my front bumper. Save the money labor and do it yourself and you can use that labor money to mod some more.
