ok folks...i'm on the verge of a meltdown here. i managed to connect the icelink plus pretty easily and test out my ipod. now..my problem...i can't put the headunit back on because of the harness that came with it is quite big (the 17 pin plug is getting in the way). i can't find a place to "tuck" it. am i only one that has this problem? i tried putting it on the left side and came up 1/2" short. i tried putting it just underneath the headunit, but the cable is too short. i'm going crazy here!!!

I had to get a friend over and we slid the harness over to the far right and pushed it back in there and pushed the radio hard and got it to go in.

I tried to pull out the top vent to pull the a/c controls out to put behind there but broke vent and looked up proce of vent and it was $250 (so more than ice.link)

Just keep at it. It drove me crazy for about 3 hours.

walk away drink a beer and watch the game for 30 min and try it again.

:werd:

Good Luck

i removed the air vents and put the cable up in that area, theres plenty of room for it but its diffivult to route the wires up there and the air vents are ridiculously hard to remove

I removed those screws and those vents won't budge.

Also, when I reconnect the power, the head unit doesn't turn on. Do I have to connect anything to the climate control for power? Help?

I'm having the same issue. I've removed the two screws, but that damn thing won't budge. :hmm:

Still no luck here...

i didn't remove the top air vent.
I put the hairness behind the HU. There's a small box on the left behind the Hu , so try to fit there (it was pretty difficult to fit everything there, but after 30 minutes I did it! ). For the ice link, i put behind the a/c controls.

Towards the back right and push up. I've got a ton of wires and my aftermarket HU fits.

The vents are a pain in the *ss but, once you remove the two screws, there are four pressure clips on the vents. Two on the top and two on the bottom. You have to pry it from the top first and then pry from the bottom. You have to push in then down and out.

The vent costs $50...not sure where you got the $250 figure from.

I was about to tell you to try harder, it will fit but you found a way. Yes, it is a pain in the *ss but you'll be surprised how much you can fit with some patience.
