Guys, I need to have my transmission fluid replaced at Inspection II on my NA 323i and I was wondering if it's a good decision to "upgrade," per say, to this type of fluid instead of going with the BMW MTF LT-1.

I've read that it is a good idea for vehicles that have HD clutches but I don't plan on getting this anytime soon.

Thanks for your help,
Alex

I've heard of individuals on this forum using Redline. I myself changed mine ~ 30K and went with Redline also and have not incurred any problems.

The other thing to do is a search for tranny fluid.

i used REdline MT90 in my GTI VR6...changed it every 25-30K; it really smoothed out my ssk in that car...no problems, no complaints...

i'm using royal purple in my BMW...i did a tranny fluid swap when i had my SSK installed at Rogue and that's what they use...so far so good...

Ben from Rogue recommends it, so when he did my ssk install, i had him swap out the fluid too (they had a big drum of it on hand at their shop). Royal Purple Synchromax is a synthetic that's very similar to Redline's MT90 i believe.

I am running Redline MT-90, Rob from UUC highly recommended it when I did my clutch, no issues so far.
