hey I have a friend who has the CL55 AMG. That thing is pretty sick but he always ends up beating me. I wanted to really show him up and also wanted to know what is the best super/turbocharging option out there for the M3 and what is the max HP an e46 M3 has been known to put out.

get the Evosport //M Kompressor supercharger package...
most powerful F/I kit i have yet seen for an M3... ($25K - 500 RWHP)
and after install... it will still cost a lot less than the CL55...
put on slicks and kick his ass back to affalterbach....
j/k amg = :str8pimpi
THere are two options, AA supercharger (450-500 HP) about 15 grand +/-, I believe ASA is coming out with a kit, and evosport has a kit producing 600 HP (you will destroy most things on the road) for 25k installed... hope this helps

Dont forget ESS.
The evosport SC at the moment is not in production and there test vehicle is not done or not running.
AA is the best option right now, 15K+ is way too much, you can get the AA for 8k plus 1k install. 9K for 430 hp without other mods. Add headers, full exhuast, pullies youll go up to 450-500hp.
You can also go the NA route.
Headers/Full exhuast/Pullies/intake/ecu/cams/4.10 gears (10k+) say goodbye to cl55. :hi:

I've seen that car live a couple of times, with that STCC race driver driving it. Best recommendation anyone can get. All the other CSL's on the track lokked like they where standing still
I guess though that the S/C used is not the ASA one but the Vortech, is that correct?

yes, this is correct, it is using a Votech supercharger. I have listed below what the kit comes with.
-Vortech V2SQ supercharger unit.
-High capacity ESS LiquaFlow intercooler manifold system.
-Uni-belt with additional OEM quality rollers.
-6 larger Bosch fuel injectors.
-Perfectly optimized, dyno tweaked ECU software.
-CNC hard anodized brackets and hardware.
-K&N high flow air filter.
-Discharge and intake assemblies made from 304 stainless steel.
-High temperature silicone hoses with clamps
-Detailed, step-by-step installation manual + CD.
-Heavy-Duty drive belt.
-3 way, fume reduction oil breather assembly designed for boost.
-All installation hardware included
-2yr./unlimited mileage warranty.
ESS does also offer a transmission warranty
