Can you shark an '04 3301?

Hey peeps,
Didn't want to post in general as most of the tuning knowledge is here.

My buddy is just about to trade in his '01 330i for an '04 330i (SMG)tomorrow and is wondering if his shark (properly uninstalled from his '01) will work in his '04.

I searched and read some conflicting info from bimmerzone, Turner Motorsport and ECIS websites.

Anyone know for sure?

There's a thread here sometime back that shark injector for later part of MY 2003 (Production after 3/03) and on - 2004 included, still not available. That means that the shark injector your friend have will not work on the 04 330i.

According to Turner They will not have '04 software until at least the end of March. This leads me to believe that it will not work. I guess you can shark it and unshark it if you have trouble... I wouldn't though..

I think the first time you use a shark injector it records the vin number of the car and after this the shark injector can only used on that car. There since you used the shark on your last car you can't do it because the Vin number from you last car is already recorded on the shark injector.
