hi,

recently added AA supercharger to 323cic with steptronic. was boosting on the highway and rpm hit rev limiter and engine misfired resulting in limp mode. engine was stuttering and couldnt accelerate normally anymore... pulled over and engine was shaking... as i took off and cruised home the engine smoothed out and runs normally now. pulled the obd II code and got a p0306 (cylinder 6 misfire). cars run normally except that i think it is still in limp mode because car cannot go past 3000 rpm in high gears. would resetting the check engine light remove fault and get the car out of limp mode? anyone think there is internal engine damage caused by the misfire? thanks in advance

yeah if you reset it, your car will be taken out of limpmode until it picks up the misfire again... if you just turn off your car and restart your car it should also help just to get the car running smoothly... i had this problem on my car. they had to replace a coil pack and its been pretty much fine ever since.

I had a mis fire on cylinder 4 without a S/C! You have to change coils!
I dont think you will get it under warranty :eeps:
Anyways good luck  Its supposed to take 30 min (They took like 3 or 4 hours in my dealership tho! :ben: :vinmac:
