Ouch.....I am on the GB list but not going to go ahead until the Stage 2 upgrade (SW and Inj) are ready. That is priority #1. The new IC is pimp but SK2 is more of a priority.
Any updates on Stg 2? Rumors starting to float around :dunno:

I'm on the list as well. But I'm with omes on this one. I want to get it all at once. Injecters + software + IC.
Please keep us up to date.

me4. SW and injectors are more important in my opinion, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Great deal though!

I am perhaps the only living proof of using the new IC.
IMO, it is ok to install the new IC without injectors or s/w upgrade. I ran it at Willow Springs. Read: ASAtronic. No problems whatsoever. There are no boost loss with proper installation of course. Post-IT is colder than the old IC setup. t. I doubt any of you log the IAT values. I am very pleased with the IAT logged with the new IC. The old IC is good at dispensing heat but the new IC is even better. For most of you, this is a plus point, since the IAT is going to register a colder air temp in the intake manifold.
Believe me, I am not earning any commission for this group buy. 40% off is a bloody good deal. It's not like Technik Engineering has hundreds of these in the inventory. When the cost of aluminium goes up, the cost of the new IC goes up. Grab it while it lasts.

can we sell our old IC (maybe as a generic?)?

We know its safe to install but what we are trying to say is that we want the sw first :vinmac:

Or even better a complete package.
I hope you will offer this as a complete package with injecters +software + IC. And special pricing :craig: for those who have purchased the kit already from renn-sport.

Am I the only one that paid already? :P
The sk2 kit is supposed to come with this new IC anyway, might as well install it now and have some interim fun tell the SW comes out :)

Vince,
We are all convinced that the new FMIC is the real deal, no one questions that.
But is this new IC going to clean up my AFR, I think not. When the system is properly tuned, then it is time to start optimizing the set up. IMHO it is putting the cart before the horse.
I am glad so many agree with me that the SW and INJ we have so patiently been waiting for is more important than a new FMIC.
You have done a fantastic job track testing and sharing all of you information. I hope you realize not all of us put our cars through the rigourous track laps you do. I just want to be able to enjoy a drive and not worry about tripping a CEL.
I will once again say there is no issue as to the who the king of the E46 SC is but I am not spending another nickel of my hard earned money, till the SW and INJ are released. As far as I am concerned the kit is no where near complete without it (sw and inj)no matter what kinda gains are seen from the new IC.
Respectfully,
Omes.

So, you guys actually read my track journals? :P Thought they might be a little mundane for the majority of the crowd here.
I felt the need to post something given the number of emails I have received about the new IC, even though I am not selling it!

I agree! There should be a "special pricing" on the upgrades to the new kit. Ie.FMIC, INJ and SW. We have been the one's promoting this kit for the past year +++ and now someone is going to walk in and get the complete kit for $5995/$6995 or what GB pricing is being organized. Seems like current SK1 owners are getting :boink: with having to shell out possibly $2k for upgrades to our SK1's. :dunno: Am I getting off line with this or is it just me?
Any yes Vince we (I) do read your track journals every night before bedtime :craig:

Let me clear this up as best I can, our new IC will be offered as a complete upgrade package (s/w, injectors, and IC) but do not expect it to be at this price. I think 40% off on this item is very fair at this time since our cost to make this peice is so high. You have to also understand, with an the order this big that we have placed with our supplier we had to shell out a few big bucks to fill the orders that were placed (with no deposit mind you), I still think we have been fair to our loyal customers. Omes, no one is forcing you to buy. We just thought we would put this GB (at this special price) togeather after all the interest we saw. This way our supplier is happy and you guys are happy and will receive a great product.
Furthermore, I would also like to say that we never put the s/w on hold for this IC project (In fact we pushing harder than ever to get the S/W wrapped up). At first we were just planning to make one or two for our personal cars but opted to make the IC fit all ASA cars.
On a side note: The testing was done in the worst conditions possable (to get real world conditions and data) and still performed beautifully so there is much more room for improvements (not to mention it looks alot more aggressive). Also on higher boost settings you can expect even more gains over the standard IC but I am sure till the S/W is ready this peice should hold some of you over in the mean time. :craig:
Hope this helps....
Vincent, thank you once again for your support and for testing it out with us.
Thank you,
Anthony

I would still hope that if some off the people here didn't buy the IC right now. That you would still offer us a special price for the complete package.
I personal think that its great to have the nice new IC, but i would really like to clear up the ecu first and get it all at once. I got to believe that it should be cheaper to buy a complete package then to buy one thing at a time.
BUT PUT ME DOWN FOR A COMPLETE PACKAGE!!

I'm still waiting for the ZHP Stage II Kits without any power dips. Let me know when they are up. By the way anyone out there have the ZHP model with a Supercharger on that has some DYNO runs to show or post? I want the new intercooler on my car along with Software tuning to optimize performance. looking for a bigger radiator as well to help keep temps down in the summer time.

Have you upgraded to DME to v39.2 yet? It takes out the dip completely. My statement isn't 100% since I havn't dynoed since the upgrade, but there's a obvious difference when I got v39.2, and the power curve feels very linear now.
I have a dyno from about 8 months ago if you're interested.

Let me know what the difference between v39.2 and v40.0 is! I'm wondering if the changes are worth going in again for another upgrade.
