Not as of yet. We're wrapping up the MS43 cars still. I would expect MS45 to be about 2-3 months out.

Is this software you're referring to for NA (Shark equivalent?) vehicles or FI?

It's very close...we'll have more time to get it done once BFest is over, been very busy as of late with MS42/43 tuning and a few projects.

If you have the dip symptom, you'll need to update your software to the latest DIS version before we flash it.

So once i get those problems taken care of what will this software do? A slight HP increase? Removal of the Top Speed governor?
samir@technik
04-20-2005, 11:36 PM
A slight HP increase? Removal of the Top Speed governor?
Yep. MS45 is more efficient than the previous versions, therefore the gains are slightly less (about 6-8HP). The ECU will work best with an intake to match.

What is the expected redline going to be? Can we expect an increase from stock to say 7500 or 8k RPM?

:lmao:
In all seriousness though, I am pretty sure that I have seen a post regarding this. It stated that the M54 does not make more power about 6900-7k.
*edit*-I am fairly sure that before 7500 a nice "boom" would happen anyway. Samir please correct me if I am wrong.

7500-8000? Not a chance...unless you wanna see fireworks from your engine :)
Redline will probably be standard 7K for manuals.

Well... fireworks would be fun, but only one show wouldn't be worth it.

Hi Samir,
What kind of timeline are we looking at for the MS45 remapping for the ASA SKI? Is the remapped ECU for the intake a priority or those of us with the ASA SKI?
samir@technik

The tuning for the superchargers is the priority.

Do any of you guys with SC'd 330s had to beef up engine internals?
What is the recommendation as far as engine prep before installing an SC.
And will this software push the SC'd engine to its limits?
Seriously considering SC'ing my ZHP but I want to make sure the engine will be safe.
Solid
04-22-2005, 07:43 PM
I think all of us are on stock internals, and nobody has blown an engine yet, which includes all those track events with the ASA SC.
I've read before about 8psi is about as high as you want to go to be on the safe side. I've heard of a few 10psi guys blowing engines (but that was RMS i think). I think theres a cab on here that is running 10 without problems...

Sounds good. Do you think there will be a problem running the ASA software for the ZHP on my ASA supercharged MS45 ECU although I do not have the ZHP cams or redline....I have the Canadian model so I got the MS45ECU but ZHP was not available at the time (2003)?

If you have a non-ZHP car, then you'll get the non-ZHP MS45 software.

It's really easy, 5 connectors need to be unclipped, then the DME slides out...putting it back in is a cakewalk. It's impossible to damage the DME unless you a) unplug it while the car is running, b) unplug it without waiting 5 mins for the DME to cycle through it's shutdown operations, or c) drop it.
We send you a box and anti-static bag w/ instructions for removal/installation.

Not true...turnaround is 24-48 hours. We don't solder anything...we simply hook up the DME to our bench and flash it.

I assume Technic is producing software for the MS45 for both the non-zhp 330's w/ ASA SKI and zhp 330's w/ASA SKI......Correct Anthony?
I should have mine done hopefully "next" week......cool. I just took mind out of the garage for a run the other day. Who is going to install your injectors?

My buddy paul who did the original install on my system, the injectors are a cakewalk, I checked out my bentley manual, it is the removal of the RRFPR and re-wiring the MAF without the ASAtronic. I trust him implicitly with my car.

Is Paul located in Calgary? does he work at an Auto shop? I might be interested in taking mine there when the software is ready?

He has a 'shop' out at his place in Bearspaw. He is the guy that built the E36 with the Corvette LS1 engine swap.

There are a few Socal guys running it already as they have direct access to Technik Engineering's Shop. So far the word has been good.
For us outta towners we are still waiting for Technik to set up their test bench ECU Flash set up as we are just sending our ECU's and not plugging in to our obd2 ports. I am really hoping to hear something this week. :dunno:

any estimate in gains??? :dunno:
Solid
05-11-2005, 01:01 AM
From what I read the stage 1 software/injectors (6.5 psi) for the ZHP won't have much gains since the ECU is pretty maxed out so maybe < 10whp? I think the most important reason for the software is for the AFR anyway, I can care less about any gains, but it's always a plus. I rather have a safe 12:1 AFR through the rpm band.
any estimate in gains??? :dunno:
Gains were not as high as expected I would guess most are looking at 10-15rwhp. The fact is that the 330 is so highly tuned already and that our kompressors (TM 12) are not as efficient with a smaller pulley (more boost) biggest thing behind the SW and INJ upgrade is to tune fuel. Will make a huge difference in how the engine perform overall. I think some that went with the new TE FMIC will get a few more ponies too.
