SO i bought this off of ebay a week ago with the understandong that it was an AMerican made 62 reissue.
it shows up and it is not. I have filed with paypal and ebay... but if someone is interested in it i would rather sell it..... rather than deal with the dead beat and return it...
I have done a bit of research and i come to find out it is a "strings n' things custom made peice" . Strings n' things is a company somewhere in tennesee that makes "one off" instruments. I have been told that their stuff is comprable to Fender custom shop pieces.. and i belive it as this is a nice guitar. Unfortunately, its not EXACTLY what I was looking for and I have since found and bought, EXACTLY what i wanted.
So this one has to go.
It is a Candy Apple Red 1962 Reissue.. has proper spaghetti logo.. custom shop pickups, maple neck with rosewood slab fretboard. Vintage tuners.. it is relic'd meaning its plastics are aged (mint-ish pick guard and creme colored knobs) and it has some dings--- this is like a 500.00 option from the custom shop. I replaced the 5 way switch and bought a trem bar for it. I will also include a hard shell case..
if this were custom shop= 1400.00
if this were a few year old US RI= 1100.00
if this were a made in japan= 700.00 IF you found one, or imported one- no case
if this were made in mexico= 600.00- no case
price with case 525.00 add shipping
