Does your dealer call you for software updates?

I never get a call or letter from my dealer regarding software updates.. so just wonder how did you guys get the updates?

Dealer never calls me about new software upgrades. I usually just rely on info I get from E46fanatics.com or bimmerfest.com to find out what is new and see if it is relevent to issues I may have with my car, such as the unstable idle which resulted in a software upgrade. The previous time I had my car in for software upgrade was for an engine stumbling issue I noticed on acceleration which the dealer said may be resolved by the software update.
