Well I while back I posted that I had irratit idel with the car and I took it to Bmw and they fixed it or well reprogrammed the computer.
Well it has come back!!!
And it wasn't the first time. Now I have noticed that when I wash my car or when I drive in the rain it comes back.
Do you think it could be the mass air senser getting wet and f**king everything up.
When Its dry out its runs fine. :hmm:
If the air filter get a little damp does that mess things up ? :hmm:
Let me know what you guys think
Your help would be great

YES! do you have the splash guard properly installed? Getting the filter wet will definitely cause a restricition and create the irratic idle.

Hi Omes
When you say splash guard you mean that metal cover that go'es around the filter right.
Well I have to put it back on cause it came off at one time.
I thought it might have been that.

I didn't like the idea of getting the filter wet. It rains alot here on the east coast. What i did was shorten (cut) the flexi tube that extent down to the fiter so right now, my MAF is still inside the engine bay while the filter is directly behind the metal reinforcement bar.

Good Idia
I will try that cause last time I felt my mass Air senser it was wet from the rain coming through.
I'd rather have it sitting behide the bumper then in the open like it is now.
