Just preordered mine, Rob said it can handle close to 700hp

Rob said Todd over at my330i.com is going to have a write up very soon (hurry up Todd :)).

I just need to find a 3.46 now, someone find me one! Salvage yards around here suck!

Is that suitable for street?

Is that suitable for street?

6 puck is probably a little overkill for the street....especially for a daily driver. I have the sachs organic power cluch and its holding up great!

Ah, i just chose that one since it said sc or turbo. I'll talk to rob and ask if the 1st option will work too...

Probably will. He told me that thier new organic clutch that they offer has a little more clamping force than the sachs i have. Should be plenty for our setup.

How is the clutch for normal street driving?

It is actually quite streetable. You do have to learn to use a clutch again. The engagement point and amount of gas to use change. Once you get used to it, it is very nice.

Looks like i'm going with the ceramic clutch too, still debating if i should do it my self, seems like a bunch of work, maybe a 6 hours job without a lift?

I'm mostly done with the engine. The organic can hold up to 500HP according to Rob. I think organic would suit my needs. Its $200 saved too. :P

I figure the Carrera GT has a cermaic clutch and all the reviews say it doesn't make a bad daily driver :P

 Carrera GT a daily driver? :lmao: One good thing about a cermaic clutch is that it is very hard to burn it. That is for those track and drag racing people out there. :P

Ceramic clutchs are a ***** to drive everyday. I know.

I only drive it on weekends and plan to track, so i hope it's a good choice. 80% of my driving is highway...

Yes my ceramic clutch is a ***** to drive too. I think it might tear my subframe out with all this chucking motion. But, after first gear, the car is great. Thus my decision to use an organic clutch next.

Look at your driving situation and get the clutch that suits that need. Mines is a grocery getter, so I need to be able to drive it smoothly, everyday, and get it out of first gear easily.

I agree. I honestly am a good driver and always have to concentrate on stop and go driving. 1st gear sucks. After that it is very easy and smooth. Easier then stock after 1st gear and grips hard. Its just that 1st gear engagement.

Ya and the car shakes for some reason during 1st gear engagement.

Glad they finally shipped their first kit out, it was about 2 years ago when I wanted one from the for my ZHP with the 6 speed , was told a few more weeks thenn I was told another month. 2 years later it is finally on the market, great but I have lost intrest now and the new BMW models are out now as well. After more then two years in making this kit it should be perfect with no problems or any rattles of any sort.
