Beat 350Z badly with my 997S. From Highway start at 60mph.
Beat Tuned Eclipse ( Dont know what he had under the hood) with 1987 Testarossa. only about 1/4 car length ahead from 60-90. Killed him once i got into 5th gear.
Lost 1/4 mile in GS300 to Grandam GT. By half car legnth.
Beat Grandam GT on Highway. By 5 car legnths. It has no top end. I hit about 130.

My M was bone stock, one race i had another person with me and still pulled pretty hard on a ASA SC 330Ci, it was an auto but i had the extra weight also..

The other is my good friend, clutch wasnt exactly broken in but i was pulling away also, my car is known to be a freak for a stock M3, dyno'd at 267 RWHP at 6500rpm because it wouldnt go higher, that means im well over 280's maybe low 290's for a stock M3, i always pull on my friends M3's too, so weird!

Cars beat.

E30 M3 - easily
Subaru WRX on 1/4mile
535d - these are quicker than you think at high speeds
E46 M3 - Exactly the same 70 -120mph.

Cars that beat me.

Noble M12 - raped me.
Maserati 3200gt - pulled really really slowly on me.

Al these could have gone either way though, most depend on the driver. So i cant really say if my car is faster than these.

Evotechnik have another meet at the 1/4m next month so we can see

SC330 vs M3 vs M5 we'll put some vids up to.

I'm dying to hear your review on the 997S. I'm currently looking for a low miles 2005 model :)

There is nothing bad I can say about the 997S. It is the best piece of automotive enigeering you can buy. Pretty much everything i have ever read in a magazine is true. Its a great car that can be used as an everyday driver, but is also a car you can never get tired of. To see porsche evolve like this is amazing. I have recently driven a 2001 996 and the 997 blows that car out of the water. The new planetary steering system gives you such great feel of the road and response is amazing. Plus it makes parking great because you barely have to turn the wheel for sharp angles.

The transmission is unbelievable. The clutch is so smooth no one should have a problem driving this car. It really connects you to the car. You can almost feel the geers engage. I didn't get the short shift but the throw is so short to begin with I can't imagine what it would be like with a 20% shorter throw that they claim. I've had this car since November and there are still times where i'm not sure if the gears engaged because it is such a short throw and goes with such ease.

Suspension is by far the best I have ever seen in any car. The car just sticks to the ground, which is surprising because all the weight is in the rear. My old 1982 911 has such a wild ass on the turn it really takes alot of skill to keep the car in check, but this car is alot more forgiving with mistakes. With is 997S you get PASM, definitly worth it push the button and the suspension really tightens up, you definitly feel the road more (not good for city driving though because of bumps, but you can always turn it off).

The 997S also comes with the larger brake calipers and rotors from the 996TT which give great stoping power. From the reviews i hear about PCCB it should only be used on the Track. It really provides no difference for street driving because it takes a while to heat up and only then is it most effective.

The engine is amazing with the new 3.8. It has such a strong deep throughty sound to it that just makes you want to smash your foot into the floor and go faster. The 355 HP combined with perfect gearing make you think there is just a never ending pull. I've got it up to 140mph and it was still pulling like a banshee.

The interior has finally caught up with the Price. That was my only problems with porsche in the past you pay so much and get so little as far as interior comfort. PCM is a great feature, definitly get the Nav it works great. Interior is very roomy for a porsche, back seats can definitly fit kids up to the age of 10 very comfortable. I've had my 23 year old friends back there they didnt mind. He was short though.

I did not get the Sport Chrono package I personally think its worthless. It doesnt add more power just throttle response, which is nothing i cant do with my foot. And that little clock timer is just ugly to me.

Rumor has it that a new X51 power package is coming out soon, but i personally wouldnt buy it. Its way to expensive and you can get more power with out spending as much at a simple mod place like EVOMS( they offer a cold air intake ECU upgrade which will give you 25 HP more, which is like driving a 996GT3. FabSpeed offeres Muffler bypass pipes and highflow Cats. Combine that with the ECU upgrade and Cold Air Intake and you should get 400HP. There is a guy on www.theautobahn.com forum who moded his 997 to 400HP its pretty sweet.

I think I pretty much covered everything. Hope this helps

When ever you want dude. I didn't get to meet you at at FBF, there were just way to many people there but it was a good time. I saw one car with an RPM sticker on it, but no one was next to it. I figured if it was you you were probably checking out all the other cars like everyone else. But Yeh I took my buddy for a drive one day found an awesome place to really get the adrenaline going. Take 78West in NJ for about 30 miles till you hit Langdington exit (I think thats the name its all redneck town in west bumble NJ) Dude there were some crazy back roads in that town. I actaully passed a Black M3 on one i think he had the same idea i did. Anyway it got dark and the deer started coming out so i went home. I dont mess with those animals all i need is one retarded one to jump in front of my car going 80mph. trust me if that doesnt kill I definitly will. But this weather has been horrible lately. Once it gets nice i'll definitly drive by RPM. I quit my job May 31st so i'll have plenty of free time. What days do you work there?

Some cars break in really well. I have had this discussion with some other porsche owners. Because they always argue the 0-60 #'s. Porsche website says 4.6 sec for the new 997S but I think it was Road and Track or Car and Driver that did a review with performance specs using a 997S with 5,000 miles on it. That is perfectly broken in engine and transmission and they got 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Who knows if it was just a freak incident with the perfect conditions, but I dont think they would lie they dont have any affiliation to Porsche. So Yes it is possible to get a freak car every once in while. I hope my 997S turns out to be a freak. So far she feels normal but its only 1400 miles on it.

on side note, when you guys join Europrojectz?

I use to be a member when I had my widebody 330, and I thought Emiligio was part of that other team, Eurowerkz

switched to the illllest, love the Europrojectz and TWC cars - always innovating the scene (and making it harder and more expensive for everyone else to hang)
