When I did mine it was the one you have circled.
So how did you split it off into a T..just buy a T fitting and tap into this circled area?? :dunno:

Mine came with a fitting to take care of that. ASA kit

The ASA kit doesnt T that off, thats the end that gets capped and sealed. The other end of the crank case is where you connect a hose and then it goes to the metal large elbow near the blower.
Gotcha.. If needed..can I drill into intake manifold.install a 90 elbow brass fitting and run bypass vacuum off that??

:nono: I've installed the ESS Vortech, and de-installed it in preperation for the TX2. No drilling the intake mainfold is necessary for the Vortech installation. The "T" adapter you are talking about connects to the underside of the long plastic intake runner that goes into each of the six cylinders. The ESS supplied piece with the T already installed connects to the front and rear of the intake runner on the underside. Take the four torx screws out of the intake runner, very carefully pry it up a cylinder at a time to remove it. As you lift it up, you'll have to disconnect the factory vacuuum assembly. Insert the ESS vacuum assembly. Have a look at this website, it will help you tremendously.

PS. Put down the drill. :omg:
I'm following MarvelPHx's DIY on my 330i.com.. I didn't get the ESS vac rail from seller.. however..after removing vac rail..I have NO factory vacuum assy on my 328i..(perhaps 325/330 is diff config) my vac hose has only the one opening which the large plastic tube attaches too.. I'm told..I dead-plug this and then run the plastic hose under manifold to my V2 inlet ..
I'd rather not drill either..but if ness..it will provide absolute manifold vacuum

Will this work for a vac connection for bypass?? and\or do I leave small vac line fuel reg line intact or plug\remove..Man this is a PITA part of the install..

Your pictures help tremendously but since your intake runner is different than mine on my 01' 330i, you need to call ESS and ask them. Or email Hans at ESS at hans.kirkerod@esstuning.com I'm almost positive you can "T" off of the line you have in your picture but you HAVE to be sure or otherwise...not good...
I've been emailing Hans already.. here's what he says.. "Pull the hose that goes to the small steel tube on the fuel rail off and plug it with a small bolt. On the new ESS vacuum divider there will be on end free that should be installed on this metal tube on the fuel rail.
The fuel pressure regulator is located under the car on this model and it is the steel tube along the fuel rail that supplies the regulator with vacuum.
You will need to take the vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator and the bypass from the vac rail connector. There is no vacuum in the hose going to the metal steel tube. This is only to ventilate the fuel pressure regulator into the oil breather system"
now I'm even more confused.. The ESS divider has a hookup at one end..but my vac runner doesn't..so not sure where to hookup..
