V2 soon to be ready..need a boost guage..so is Auto Meter a decent brand??

autometer ultralite are very nice .. just got me one and it lights up nice at night as well...

I love autometer... especially the cobalt.
Defi are real nice too.
Don't know about Greddy... doesn't "fit" right in a bimmer IMO after they made that hideous exhaust for the non-M.

Autometer for me as well ....with LeatherZ bracket, boost, oil pressure and egt. They match very well. IMHO.

I like my greddy warning boost gauge, but it won't fit in the leatherZ bracket.

Which AutoMeter P\N 4301 \3301?? Like both..



Autometer for me as well ....with LeatherZ bracket, boost, oil pressure and egt. They match very well. IMHO.

I got the 4301 gauges. I really like the look of the silver face and silver rings, it matches the factory silver trim pretty well. I would reccomend getting the 90 degree adaptor for the vaccuum tube. It'll help keep it from getting kinked if you put the gauge under the temp controls.

I got the Defi, they are 60MM but leatherZ made a custom bracket for it. Very expensive but worth it. Has a controller, you can record the gauge activity and read all the peaks (more too, but need to learn the features).

HKS just released a amber/red illumination of thier current meters...Ill try to get some pics of the new ones..but here is a pic of the existing ones...

I decided on a autometer Phantom.. any other guages recommended besides boost..ie EGT and oil temp???

personally i like the oil temp gauge, so you know when your oil is warmed up and your car is ready to be driven hard. I'm not sure if oil pressure can tell you the same? :dunno:
