Pls share :

* are you happy with the performance gain from the kit?
* have anyone dynoed the kit (especially on a 323 5-speed)? Pls share numbers.
* # of hours if diy? staright forward?
* or how much $$$$ you've paid for installation? 1-day job?

Tks in advance !

We're pretty much done with the 323 SK+ tuning, just have a few more final tweaks. Here's a dyno plot of the latest results (then the customer will pick it up). Temperatures have been really hot during these dyno runs, but the gains are still pretty good at 6.5psi. They will be a lot higher in 50/60 degree weather, since these were done in 90+ degrees last week (SoCal heat wave). We'll have some final runs later this week.

Stock run is in blue. With the ECU/Injectors and smaller pulley, the SK+ kit picked up about 65WHP, or about 75HP over stock...a gain of ~ 40%, which is pretty good considering the price of the kit and the conditions of these runs.

We just finished an SK+ on a 325xi wagon. Despite the AWD and step trans the wagon really gets up and moves. This was without the Technik software or smaller pulley.

I like !!! I don't need M3 power but I can use more juice with not too much dough!

So Samir's numbers are with Tecnik s/w .. pls share the numbers again from the final run, once available....

I assume that we'll have 2 "offerings" for SK+:
1. vanilla SK+ kit, no software, no pulleys,.. (any duno numbers availbale to share?)
2. Technik SK+ - with software & pulleys ..

PLl confirm my understanding & pls advise price range for both.

Tks!

No numbers for the regular kit on a 323, BUT we plan to offer the SK+ with the ECU from here on out at the same price as the regular SK+, so it wouldn't make any sense to get the 1st gen kit.

would it be hard to adapt the kit to a 320?

Yes, we do...but the car would need to be a 2001-2003, and local to us for tuning.

I don't see that being a problem.

Couldn't be a 2004? Still haven't cracked the code?! But the local thing isn't a real problem, I'll just ship it out to you for a month or so :)

MS45 is cracked, that's not the issue. We just want to start on a MS43 car first, then MS45 afterwards.

Alrighty then, keep me posted because my car is no longer a daily driver. Just hangs out in NJ all the time :)

why not? you shouldn't be putting out anywhere near the maximum for step tranny. heck, the sk1 can be used with the step no?

Of course it can, SK+ is fine for autos.

What is the max boost that you can run reliably on the SK+?
How does the 6.5psi compare to the 6.5psi of the SK1 kit on 2.5l?
Also is there an intercooler upgrade option for the SK+?
Thanks

6.5psi is the max ASA recommends on the TMIII.

How does the 6.5psi compare to the 6.5psi of the SK1 kit on 2.5l?

Two different worlds completely. One intercooled, the other isn't. We've seen a 20WHP/15WTQ difference.

Also is there an intercooler upgrade option for the SK+?
Thanks

ASA has completed an aftercooler upgrade for the kit, scheduled for release after the new year.

Thanks for the offer, but IMO the cost of shipping the car across the country would offset the benefit of the kit. I would rather have you save your money and let us fine tune the SK+ on a local car, then get the kit once it's completed if you still want a powerful SC option at a great price.

Hi Henry...your car would be a good candidate. We wouldn't be doing anything overly intensive on the car. We already have the base maps off the 6.5psi Stage 1 kit, so all we would be doing is fine tuning the fuel curves for the SK+ kit @ 6.5psi. It wouldn't take more than a day to get it done. If this sounds good to you, please shoot me an email and I can give you more details.
