oh kay guys here it goes.....remember i posted some threads about my belt of my sc keeps getting off track?? well i just remembered!!! i for got to modify the powersteering bracket!! in the instructions....it said there were two versions of this powersteering bracket....one, you had to shave it, the other i had to drill the hole bigger.....will i had the version that needed the drilling....so like a dumb A$$ I skipped that part.....so im thinking that, thats my problem....idk any suggestions??

another thing is that the ess sc is using the asa blower rite?? and i looked at my330i.com and the bracket of the sc kind of looks the same but there was no step in shaving or drilling the powersteering bracket...correct?? but there was a bracket that connects to the blower to behind the oil filter....so i was thinkin if i use/make the same bracket as the ess sc...and place it in the same place will it hold and solve my problem?? i was wondering if any body had skipped this part?? please help again guys....mahalo from hawaii!!

btw....i noticed that the asa sk1 is the only sc for the e46 that really needs fabrication! all the others dont need any, from what i hear....

AA- dont need to shave the powersteering bracket/ drill a hole in the oil pan
ESS- same deal with that

correct me if im wrong! but man if i knew all of that then shizz i probably wouldve gone with AA or ESS just because the install wouldve been alot easiar than the asa....rite??

Stop cutting corners and remove the bracket... get it machined and do it right. There is no easy way just the right way. ASA or ESS, if you do not do it correctly you will always have issues... Why would you spend so much money then skip over sections of the install? Besides you do not need to remove all the parts to the the P/S bracket out...

Crawl underneath the car and remove the belt, remove the P/S pulley, then remove the ASA supplied lower pulley. Remove the 3 bolts holding the S/C bracket to the P/S bracket and pull it out... simple. BTW if you used the correct bolts the lower bracket should already have been drilled...

EDIT: What prevents you from taking it to a shop?
