Hey guys... Im a owner of a Acura 3.2CL Type S and I'm selling it to a friend and I'm in the process of a deal to buy a White '05 330xi 6spd. I was wondering if it was possible to get into the 13's with NA mods... which mods give the best performance? I've done the search and found that there are intakes, headers, catback exhaust, short shifter, chip, etc. Which are the mods that really count, and how much power can I expect?

If anything it would probably be better to go for S/C off the bat wouldn't it?

Thanks for your help

Xi is a 4wd... NA will not get you into the 13's with a reasonable amount of $$. S/C the beast and go have some real fun... However I do not believe that an SK1 or bigger will fit your application. I know an SK+ will... Technik will need to chime in about this..

Why not? I just bought an Xi Touring and I love it! It makes trips to Tahoe easier and it is an E46!

Since it's a 6sp Xi, then the full intercooled SC will fit. To get into the 13s via N/A, would require at least intake/ecu/headers/exhaust/cams...and even then, it would only be high 13s at best. SC is probably the better route...more cost effective too.

Granted its not an engine mod, but don't forget about a diff. Or is changing the rear diff a problem on the xi?

There is more than one diff, so it becomes quite a pain to do gear mods on the Xi.

what ratio are the gears on the front and rear? You can't just change the rear?

i hear it's a ***** to work on the xi's. I suppose I should just save up for s/c + IC from the get-go since bolt ons seem to not to do much. If anything I'll go for a nice catback exhaust and maybe headers to complement s/c, but then again i can just go for muffler tips for cosmestics and install a cut-out to save money. has anyone done this on a s/c'd E46?

and in terms of ASA and ESS S/c's... which one should i go with? thanks a lot guys

Wait are you getting a 2005 330xi or a 2003 330xi? your sig shows a 2003 listed?
