My car has the MS45 based ECU. I did experience the 4k dip so I took it into the dealer and got updated to 42.x software and they replaced the DISA valve. The problem went away for a week or so but came back worse.. I would reset my adaptations and the car would be ok for another week.

FAST FORWARD A FEW MONTHS:

I have had my ASA SK1 installed and running for approximately 500 miles. I noticed that the dip is VERY pronounced a week or so after resetting my adaptations. It was worse after the ASA install which was to be expected. What I did not expect was how horrible it has become. Today I removed the connection to the actuator. The dip is not noticeable under anythong other than WOT. Under WOT the car has a barely noticeable dip. I will cruise around for a wekk and see what is up, I did not reset my adaptations since I wanted to make 1 change only.

Technik: For all us MS45 guys.. how's the porogress on software? I would love to lose my ASAtronic...

It's coming...we're just working on the encryption key for flash programming. Everything else is ready to go for tuning. I'll be posting up data on our progress when we get to that point (most likely by end of month).

SWEET

I have a MS43 ECU at my disposal... I was thinking of doing the unheard of... I haven't checked the connectors yet but it should drop in right?

Technik, how is my car doing at your shop? Did my dip go away? How is my air fuel mixture on the Dyno? If the software for our cars will be ready by the end of the month will mine have it on since it is at your shop? :)

Drove it alot today.. still smooth as silk. I didn't realize how f*cked up that dip was until it was gone... Fingers crossed for a few hundred miles but I think I am going to remove the valve completely and block off the hole.

It won't work. Fuel system and sensors are totally different for MS45.

If it's ready, you'll be one of the first, but that leaves us 10 days to tune/test/finalize, which is pretty much impossible. Trust me, just like MS42 and MS43, MS45 will be out soon and it will be well worth the wait. I own 2 MS45 equipped cars myself, so I want the software upgrade just as bad.

Do you still have 39.2?

No I am on 42.1 (I think, I had the SIB done a few months back) the dip is back but not that bad... I cleared my adaptations and it is slightly better... I checked into the MS43 and you're right, it is way different. You mentioned that you may have resolved the dip issue with your software?

BTW I connected the resonance valve actuator and it bucks bad at 4k. I unplug it and it nearly goes away... ARGH!
