I have a cbr 900rr for sale in NJ for around that price :woot:

BTW dont get a 600 for a first bike, you will outgrow that bike in 1 month. my first bike was an r6 and I brought it brand new and sold it 1 month later.

Pics of the 900? Won't I kill myself on something like that for a first bike? I'm in Jersey too.

i'm sorry..but that's the lamest advice i've heard. for a beg. it's better to start on something small and learn the fundamentals. a much higher cc bike is much harder to refine your skills. get something small and used then upgrade later. that's just my two cents.

hey there. when i was looking for bikes, i couldnt find much down in so cal, but found lots up north. Maybe its cause i only wher to look up north and not here. but anyways, look on craigslist or diff moto forums like socalsportsbikes.com, cycetrader.com, recycler.com. If you are willing to go up to the bay area to get one, craigslist and www.bayarearidersforum.com is really good on searching bikes.

good luck on finding a bike and if u need advice on riding, lemme know. i was on the same boat as you 2.5 years ago and have been loving it since!

Yeah this is what all the squids say and why so many people die each year. 600 is more than enough for a first bike stick on that track. For something better... SV 650, Honda 599, or FZ6. All great starter bikes and cheaper to repair when you go down. www.stuntlife.com, www.gixxer.com all have some good bikes for sell also www.sportbike.net, Gixxer.com is one of the top sites for reasons why a slower first bike will mean a quicker rider in the end.

Don't mean to preach just have rode since 12 on dirt and since 17 on street.
Stay safe enjoy the ride hope those sites help.

If your afraid of dying dont get a bike, because you will die just the same on a 500,600,750,900,1000 so if your not a rider and dont know what the F UCK your talking about ****. I said dont get a 600 because thats what I DID. AND I Spent money on a bike that I outgrew in a month. but you can do what you want. BTW I will be upgrading from a 900 to a 1000 for next summer.

how long have you been riding RANE?
no offense but if you "outgrow" your 600 with no privious riding experience, you've just never ridden it good enough...
Iv e started on an older katana 600 now have a 03 Gixxer 600 and god knows im nowhere till the full potential of that bike...

honestly, you did give bad advice. there is a remarkable difference learning from a hyabusa and an interceptor. come on man, you don't go to those learning courses and hop on r1s right away. you build your confidence upgrading to higher liter bikes with EXPERIENCE. you may be a rider, but not a very logical ones. everyone has different learning curves. i went from a 600 gsxr to a 03' r1 in a year because i felt confident in my skills. yesterday i bought a 04' r1 and that is a monster. you gotta learn how to tame it. relax. if money is your concern over safety, tell me when you're on the highway so i can see the brains you lack spilling across the center divider

No money is not my concern trust me. I simply stated what I went through with a bike. And by the way I have been riding a very long time and I also stunt. as far as seeing my brains spilling on the highway thats not going to happen. but maybe I will see yours spilling out of your head when you smash your 3 into a divider.
